I think barabanov didn't get the chance that Mikheyev get last year. Maybe wait after 10 games to look what he can do. Also, Mikheyev need more icetime. He showed nice things with Tavares last year.

Lol Barbarov looked good in his limited minutes. He's fast and plays aggressive, something you should like since you only like guys that hit.

He looked horrible, Mikheyev is showing why he is overpaid, and now we have to hope Lehtonen is good. The Leafs lack depth and shouldn't have won last night's game. If Mikheyev played for the Habs, he would be as a healthy scratch

Did you even watch his game? He looked out of place, soft, and was bad

Wow, you seem so level headed, who could imagine you overreacting to 1 game (and a 2 week training camp).

I'm pretty sure Bogosian's game last night opens the door for Lehtonen sometime soon (Bogo barely played in 3rd), and Barabanov seemed fine in limited minutes. It's not like the 4th line was a liability.

Also, both players were signed in Spring 2020, well before planning for this season began (will end up being the weirdest NHL season). Better to acquire decent no-risk assets then let them go somewhere else and possibly make an impact.

The Leafs are hoping these KHL forwards turn out well enough since they don't have the cap space to acquire real NHL players. Now that Nylander's value is rising, he will be easier to trade at the deadline

If anyone should be questioned about watching the game it's the guy who says Bogosian should be moved up after being without a doubt the worst player on the ice in the entire game. Yeah I watched the game and he didn't do anything I didn't like but only played 5 minutes.

Stopping rushes is bad apparently. When Lehtonen becomes a joke, I will be laughing

He did not stop rushes, a bad pinch caused the 2nd Anderson goal. He tipped in the first goal and took 2 stupid penalties because he's slow. He didn't even hit anyone, just a ****ty pylon.

The Leafs acquired 3 NHL fwds this off-season that are higher than Babarbanov on the depth chart (and always were). So you're first sentence is obviously nonsense.

And, what does Nylander have to do with anything that's being discussed in this thread?

Oh yeah... you don't have anything intelligent to contribute, so you'll troll instead.

Good one!!

Because there's a chance that they are our next Mikheyev and there is literally no downside to trying these guys out

Honestly Barabanov looked solid. There was no risk at all with this signing, good for them if it pans out.

If Bogo played so well why did he barely play in the 3rd? Even after the game was tied.

What does it matter if Lehtonen becomes a bust. He plays for the Marlies or goes home. What about him being a Leaf could possibly bother you so much?

The kid hasn't played a game yet.

You live a pretty sad life bud.

You are basing your dislike for Barabanov off of one game. You are basing your dislike of Lehtonen off of a scrimmage.

If Bogosian can't play in the 3rd period of a tie game, he won't be playing too much longer.

Nope wrong. You don't win with KHL player's on your team. Barabanov and Lehtonen will be lucky to see a game against the Senator's
