Dallas trade doesn't have to be with Dallas, whoever wants Hall gives a decent prospect and a 1st (and maybe a 2nd if that was too much disregard it)

Carolina have already said Pesce is untouchable.

ok doesn't have to be CAR for Pesce. Just a similar trade with another team then

I think the Carolina deal is actually good value, but you'd need to add a D like Reinhart + Montour (1M retained) = Pesce + 3rd. Other than that, Ottawa doesn't do this, Dallas doesn't need to do this.

how is the #1 overall pick + a future 1b center terrible? What better return do you expect if the Sabres were to rebuild and he wanted out or something like that? I think you could get more pieces elsewhere, but not this quality. #1D + 1b center is pretty darn good

Why are you a leaf fan if you spend so much time thinking about the Sens?

Cuz I like where the team is going. There's only so much tinkering you can do with the Leafs 2-3 years down the road because our team is pretty close to set in stone. Really just shuffling middle 6 wingers, bottom pair D, bottom 6 forwards, and goalies around when doing a long term outlook on TOR

So the Sens are your second favourite team

Put their logo on the back of that shirt

like I don't have a 2nd favourite team but I have a few that I keep tabs on because I kinda like them and/or saw my first game there and/or they have players that I watched a lot to model my own game after.

For me Ottawa (up and coming team) is in a tier of Tampa (first game), NYR (up and coming team), Colorado (Mackinnon), Boston (ironic yes but I always loved to watch Bergeron), Chicago (watched a lot of Toews analysis clips, and of course the cup runs).

Making ACGMs on rebuilders is fun for me.

Okay, I’ll give you a task, if that’s okay with you. I need four players for my ACGM for next season, you want to finish it for me?

I’ll post an ACGM that’s missing 4 players, 4th line RW, 3rd paid RD, healthy scratch forward, backup goalie. You can’t use any Sens prospects not already in the lineup, or make any trades, just UFA signings. Can you do better than Dorion?

Bro Sabres won't rebuild. If you wanna do Sabres AGMs, try making us a playoff contender instead of a lottery team. Eichel isn't going anywhere, neither is Reinhart. Also if you think we'd draft a goalie at 8th OA idk what to tell you, we have 2 potential blue chip goalie prospects in the system already

I think Reinhart could get moved, depends on what the options at wing are. Ideally you keep him, but I can see him shaking loose. I do agree about goalie, even if I don't share your optimism about our goalie pipeline. You simply do not draft a goalie at 8oa.

We have no options at wing. Still a gaping hole in the top 6 wing position going into next season. Hopefully we can nab a FA or trade for a player. IMO Portillo is set up to be a more impactful NHL goalie (younger age, putting up very good numbers) than UPL is, although I think UPL has better chances of becoming an NHL goalie

Although I would still look at other suggestions from other teams.

And we definitely don't take Wallstedt at #8, we have UPL and Portillo.

A better post than most Sabre AGM could make.
Oops! that is because you actually watch hockey.
This would be so much more fun if Adams had drafted Rossi instead of Quinn.
IMHO, the over all return is about correct. Eichel and Ristolainen most likely return a bit more while Hall and Reinhart a bit less.
I understand what you are doing and it is fun to do that with our imaginary teams.
Based on what he did in the world juniors, John Peterka most likely will be a Sabre soon, maybe not next year.
I also think Lazar will be given a better contract next year.
While neither have done much this year, I am in agreement that Thompson and Mittelstadt have a future in the NHL.
It is difficult for me to comprehend why Krueger is still the head coach.
Hall, Eichel and Skinner, about $27,000,000 of cap space have one even strength goal among them.
What do I know, I watch hockey for fun not as a vocation.
Have fun with your teams, you did a very nice job here.
