I called it a joke because I consider it an effort to be funny by exaggerating the tendency of a portion of Leafs Nation to overvalue their players. Just because he failed to be funny doesn't stop it from being a joke. In fact, if you think about it, there's a second-level joke here: by implying that because some Leafs fans overvalue their players, no Leafs fan knows the range of value for his own or anyone else's players, the OP is revealing his own lack of ability to distinguish fact from fiction.
