To be honest, I think Anaheim won't move the needle unless it's an offer that blows them away. Aside from Lavoie and Samorukov to a lesser extent, I don't think they'd be really interested by this.

They would need to be put in a position where they can’t say no, especially if a Division rival is trying to get him. This doesn’t come close

I'd think it'd start with Broberg and a 1st for Gibson.

As @MisstheWhalers says, substitute Bouchard for Samorukov and your 2021 first and we would seriously consider this.

Better sign a free agent. Ducks have no incentive to move Gibson. 2nd/Lavoie and a bunch of stiffs is not going to give them one.

Gibson is the best goalie in the league.

An offer probably exists to get him, but you won’t like it

Potential top six forward
Potential top four d
Potential starter
Second round pick
I get Gibson is better but that collection of assets has to close the gap considerably.

By your own characterization, you're offering the goalie you're replacing and three "potential" players plus NEXT year's second for one of the top three or four goalies in the League. That's simply inadequate. Koskinen isn't more than an average goalie and Samorukov is a LD, where we have four guys (Larsson, Mahura, LaCombe and Thrun) who are at least as promising if not more behind Fowler and Lindholm, so he's no bundle of joy, either.

It would take Bouchard (or maybe Bear) and this year's first in addition to the first three elements to persuade us to upgrade you from Koskinen to Gibson.

Me thinks you are overly optimistic on their potential.

2nd and Lavoie are ok pieces. The d man. Meh, maybe a 3rd pair guy. Goalies are way to unpredictable. He could be a low end 1, he could be ECHL trash. Better goalies than MK in free agency.
