Description
The aim is to have another transition year, but this time it's for our young guys (Rossi, Addison, Boldy etc.) to have their debuts. After this season, we'll be contenders.

Haula is a stop-gap until Khusnutdinov/Khovanov is ready for NHL-duty.

As for the Isles trade, I hope GM Lou still wants Parise. Bellows and Ladd is a fair price imo but be sure to tell me my right to live has expired because of that proposition.

The Islanders can no longer afford that trade

id rather put Komarov on the 2nd line for the rest of the season than trade for Parise.

I'm not sure about trading 2 1sts for 1 in this draft, it would really depend on who was available. There aren't many players I'm really high on and there are a lot of questions overall. I think the real value will come in the teens this draft. You just need to pick the "right" guy.

I don’t like that nyi either way. There was more going to mn when it was proposed. But a parise trade in general is kind of dead overall

No from Minnesota. This was a no when islanders tried to. Wild aren't trading Parise for trash in Andrew ladd, & nobody prospect who was suspicious for 25 -50games for performance enhancement drug.

Guerin wanted a 1st round pick in 20 draft, & islanders say no. This deal is dead. Parise has more worth to wild.

No to Minnesota giving up both 1st round pick for rangers one. There's a very good chance Pittsburgh pick will end up being lottery.

No reason for wild to give up both 1st round pick. Way way to much value.

2 of our 3 deals straight up bad for wild

Parise has been pretty bad this year. MarJo and Bjugstad have just been so awful everyone looks better in comparison. He's the 3rd FWD on the 3rd line with Foligno and Harman being better, not great company to be compared with when you're making $8m ($7.5m AAV) this year.

Understand totally. But recapture penalty makes no sense for Minnesota to trade him. Past 2 games including @ Colorado seems like he's breaking out offensively

It doesn't have to be Rangers. Anyone who picks in the top10 will do. The deal is also made IF our picks end up being something like 14th and 17th for example.

I like many of the guys in the top of the draft, but I'm not a huge fan of the later selections. That's why I made that trade. I completely understand if you disagree, analysts say it's not as strong of a draft as it was a year ago.

I think the Parise to NYI ship has sailed. It was a nice idea at the time but now it's just too difficult to maneuver the cap.
