Who would you bring in as head coach?

Possibly just promote Kris Knoblauch?

I don't love Knoblauch tbh. Hartford fell apart without Igor last year and his PP was rough in Philly and he needed an absolutely stacked roster in Erie to do anything.

I like Mike Vellucci currently running the PK over in Pittsburgh - former OHL and AHL champion with really great metrics regardless of talent.
Greg Carvel coaching at UMass right now is another favorite - dude went to the NCAA championship when his best F was John Leonard. Spent years running a top PK in Ottawa before that.

Wild aren't doing this. This would be a bye , hangups call.

Wild aren't trading for Ryan strome, & his cap & him being a free agent when they can sign a free agent, or trade for someone else younger & better

You aren't getting wild c prospect.Marat K.

Wild gm wouldn't want Ryan strome either

Strome is not UFA after this year.
Strome's cap hit is reasonable.
Strome would be the Wild's 2nd leading scorer.
Rangers don't want to trade Strome to Wild.

If we win the 2 games this weekend in a convincing way, would you fire Quinn and keep Knoblauch around? Serious question

at least you're true to your username lol.

If you think you could sign a comparable free agent this year be my guest, here are your options (though you can probably cross of Danault/RNH since they're likely to get signed )
Screen-Shot-2021-03-18-at-3-07-04-PM
... good luck with Wennberg I guess?

If you think you can find a a 2C, who plays all situations and is on a 65 point pace after putting up a 69 point pace last year, for the equivalent of a late 1st round pick then by all means go for it.

That being said, you're probably looking at a lot of as you say "bye, hangup calls".

Though if you're saying that Bill Guerin wouldn't want someone better than Victor Rask as a 2C as they're gearing up for a playoff run then you seem to have communicated the value of your opinion pretty well.

I'd fire Quinn last year and keep Knoblauch in Hartford.

I'm surprised. I'd expect a Sens fan to want to immerse themselves in a video game because reality is too hard to deal with. Curious to see which deal you don't like. All of these are pretty thought out and rational.

Well not quite. It's a late 1st, Denisenko and Stillman/Borgstrom and a 2nd.

Rykov and Stillman are pretty close so that kinda cancels out. 1st + 2nd + Denisenko + Borgstrom is basically equivalent to the value that Ottawa got for sending Duchene to Columbus (I think it was a cond 1st instead of 2nd). That being said, Zibanejad is a better player than Duchene at both ends of the ice, comes with 2 mil cheaper of a cap hit. And Gorton is better at trading than Dorion. So if you need a comparable, it's pretty easy to find.

No... Denisenko and Borgstrom are far more touted than Abramov and Davidsson.

He's a free agent next year
Vikings aren't trading for strome in off-season. Strome isn't even better than sean Monahan who wild GM Guerin didn't want
Strome cap hit isn't reasonable for wild
Joel Eriksson Ek has more goals than strome. Greenway has 1 less points

Wi li d GM isn't trading a prospect, much less a prospect like Marat k for Ryan strome player

It's a fact that Guerin himself made it clear he's not trading any players from this years team, & that he's not adding. So yeah, he's not adding Ryan strome. He also passed on Vincent trocheck, & sean Monahan

That’s nice. All that was done and said before Kap came over and Minnesota was a semi lock playoff team. If you can’t realize the difference in context that’s understandable given your previous comments...

Dude you go can read the article that came out in Guerin's own words bgg e isn't adding on to this team, or trading any free agents.

So your statements are blatantly false

There's also the extension draft coming up, & he isn't trading assets for shorts of eichel, or barkov

It's a recent article also. So not sure why you are arguing with me over a direct statement from wild own gm.

Lol the quote was that he’s not going to sell the farm for a rental. Strome isn’t a rental and Khus is maybe the 6th best prospect in the organization behind Rossi, Boldy, Addison, Khovanov, O’Rourke and perhaps Beckman.

If you can’t understand the difference between what Guerin said and the offer depicted here that’s not really my problem.
