As a jets fan, I dont think the Jets make that trade, as they need that extra top-4 defensemen now, and not next season (as Jake McCabe is injured), but if the Jets make a splash for Ekholm, then this is an interesting trade for next season.

mccabe is out for the season and possibly longer, so that trade obviously isnt happening.

I highly doubt we get that return for hall/lazar

if McCabe was still playing than I would definitely be interested, but now it looks like they could just try and bring him in during free agency if they choose.

well when Coyotes traded for him they did pay a 1st and 3 meh prospects and a 3rd for 6 months of his service. That said with his current performance unless he agrees to resign on a 1 year deal in Toronto not happening
