Description

Weber will play in the 1 line here just so he can play with Dahlin. He will be a great mentor. He will help Dahlin with the defensive game, physical game and his shot. Petry has been great offensively so he can help out Dahlin in that part of his game. You can use Dahlin in a more offensive role when he plays with Weber

Montreal could really use themselves a left handed defenseman and now they get a franchise defining player in Dahlin that will last for 15 years.

With the addition of Staal they can survive without Kotkaniemi.

I don't see Buffalo getting more for Dahlin with the uncertainty. Still a good package tho. Cozens and Kotkaniemi as a future top 6 is sweet.

Both decline. Habs could use a top pair dman(which dahlin isn’t at this point but probably will be) but centres are much more important and we need them. Dahlin should be a beast soon but won’t help the team the way kk will IF he keeps developing.

As for buffalo, why chance it? Keep your potential beast top pair dman or trade him and get way to much in return from a gm taking a huge swing

Dahlin won't get sold low. He's one of the last guys they'd move. Definitely not to a rival team too. Kk will more than likely not be a legit 1C too and I'm sure you know that or you wouldn't be trading him.

They can have Dahlin for potentially 13 more years, and have 0 reason to move him. This wouldnt beat out most of the other low ball offers that were posted today
