Too unsure that we’d get that high end Center though
Beniers is more like a 2C than a 1C imo
And if we miss out on Wright, then we’ve still got a big hole

Maybe i could be talked into it
But it would be hard to turn down Byfield or Turcotte + imo

Cozens, Bernier, and someone in the 22 class in the top 10 would be a pretty good center core going forward. None may end up as top 10 centers in the NHL, but they could all be top 40ish center with a deadly winger grouping in Raymond, Quinn, Peterka, Bertuzzi and other guys you could get from say trading Sam. Again, this is overkill imo

I hear ya, but we could also potentially have:
Byfield/Turcotte
Cozens
Beniers

Plus extra 1sts from LA, plus whatever we’d get from Sam,
plus we’d still be just as bad as if we did this Detroit trade- so we’d still have a good chance at Wright (or whoever)

For me,
I’d basically just rather have Byfield+++ over Raymond++++

Your idea of selling him cheap is to take half of NYR future and 2 current roster players. Remind me of that gold band story you were just telling me about.

Well this is a Det trade not an NYR trade but I understand I have 3 ACGM tabs open so my rant was actually directed at a different trade.

Buffalo fans are literally delusional. NO ONE is giving up their roster and their future for one guy. There is no making you happy. Your team has been in the basement every single year since you've drafted Eichel. Beniers might be a 2c in your eyes but with the player development in Buffalo he's probably a 3c. The entire organization is an absolute dumpster fire and so is the fan base to the point where there is not a single player in this league or born yet for that matter that will fulfill the prophecy that is Jack Eichel and take the Sabers to the promise land. You're gonna get 4 really great assets and you're going to like it. And if you don't like it, you're going to get nothing and Jack is going to ask for a trade. Then you get... nothing.

Rangers aren’t getting Eichel
U have ZERO high end Young Centers u can send us
And your best 2 young pieces (Kakko & Lafreniere) have been disappointing
Sorry for you that u aren’t getting Jack- but DEAL WITH IT

ALSO.... why’s it bother you so much what Sabres’ fans think we’re gonna get?
And if you’re gonna say it “doesn’t bother you”
Then cool, just stfu

for a 1.16 ppg player in his prime locked up for 5+ seasons it should take a haul.

Those players are never available.

stop throwing us loose change and asking for a 5 dollar bill.

trading for eichel will hurt. it should hurt. hes 1C on like 24-27 teams in the league and hes 24 and locked up long term.

prime assets.

Loose change.... Last I checked NYR ranked 1 & 2 in any given prospect pool ranking. But offering 1-2 prospects (most likely picked in the top ten), one or two roster players and a first round pick is loose change. Right. Basically, what you're saying is... Laf, Kakko, Chytil, Lundkvist, Jones, Skinner, Schneider, Miller, Buchnevich, Zibanejad.. (really just getting started here) are not prime assets.

If that's the case; you and Jason Boterill must be really good friends.

No team is stupid enough to give up what your fan base wants for Eichel. For the record, I don't want em. NYR are way better off with the talent they have and the team they have developing them; than 5 years of Eichel at 10 million.

Sure, the difference though is also getting one of Power, Hughes, Eklund with Raymond vs a 20ish pick with Byfield, if they even offered that. I don't buy into the "weak draft" thing very much. Usually what that means is there isn't a Crosby, Matthews, McDavid guy is all imo. Plus doubt you'd get the Kings 22 first like the Det first being offered here (not by a Det fan, just saying what the ACGM was)

"Some picks" ??????
Our 2021 first rounder (which is probably top 4), 2021 2nd (again a high pick because of standings), 2022 first rounder (again probably will be high).

That's on top of Zadina (6th overall pick) Raymond (4th overall pick) Cholo (20th overall) .

So that's 5 first round picks and I didn't even mention Bertuzzi or Grewe or the 2022 2nd round pick yet

So if NEITHER SIDE wants this trade....
then why are u so butthurt???

Do me a favor, Hit command f and search "doesn't bother me", and I can guarantee you it doesn't show up anywhere near my name; except for this post lol Someone must be having a bad day.

If this trade did go through (extremely unlikely) Detroit would be worse than they were last season and there is a good chance that 2022 1st is the #1OA. Especially since Buffalo doesn't have the bad luck Detroit has in the draft lottery.

Idk what to tell ya- agree to disagree i guess
I want a high end Center prospect in return for Jack
What if a Cozens stays on the wing like Sam?
Why if Beniers is just a 3C ?
What if some of these guys don’t work out- like Grigorenko & Girgensons & Mitts & do i need to go on?

I want as close to a sure thing as possible to replace Jack
Then start adding pieces from there

just because a guy was picked in the 1st round doesn't mean hes that good years later.

are you saying i could trade kyle okposo, curtis lazar, zemgus girgensons and casey mittelstadt for dylan larkin?

Of course not. Larkin hasn't been ruined by buffalo.

I get it, I’m just saying it’s not a forgone conclusion that they would trade Byfield + for jack, pending the plus of course. With all the wingers coming back, I think you would def have Cozens at center. I understand what you are saying as well, and agree. But if some team is willing to overpay significantly like above, and that is overpaying with 5 first round picks and 2 second round picks plus bertuzzi, I would be hard pressed to turn it down. But agree on the agree to disagree stance

Listen, walk upstairs out of your parents basement, & cry to your mommy about how all the mean Sabres fans won’t accept your dogsh!t trade offers for Eichel
Maybe she’ll cut the crusts off your pb&j sandwich for ya
Maybe she’ll even make u some hot cocoa as a treat while u watch Weird Science, & imagine how one day you can create a female robot to be your girlfriend

Good luck with your sad life

Sounds like you're the one who is "butthurt" & projecting tears of joy . If you love Eichel so much why don't you marry him, I mean keep him.

If Eichel is so good why don't you keep him? Because he wants to be moved. I agree it should take a haul but when you don't have the leverage it'll be less of a haul than what he is worth.
