Some horrid moves for the Leafs.
Wedgewood hasn't been better than Hutchinson. So the Leafs trade two NHL goalies and wait five games before they see the other two in NHL action, leaving Campbell as the only NHL goal for five games.
Woods and Palmieri are OK to good this year, but in the meantime giving up the OK to good Kerfoot and then waiting for those two players to be NHL ready. Besides Thornton can't play centre now, and you've traded away Kerfoot for two wingers.
So besides the players not being a fit for the Leafs, it's an overpay.

That is not even close! Palmieri will probably fetch a 1st and maybe a B prospect. Wood is worth the equivalent of a late 1st/early 2nd, Wedgewood and Kulikov have minimal value (maybe a 7th for Wedgesalad and a 6th for Brokeback Kulikov). Toronto would be foolish to trade either Amirov or Sandin at all, let alone for a UFA who will walk, a 3rd line winger, and 2 depth pieces

could they yes. should they maybe. is that trade it... no. overvaluing aburzzese. i like him but still. Hutch has been alright this season. he had on horrible game vs the sens or flames idk. let in one bad goal last game. leafs can still work with him. wood still has a year left. i dont know excalty what would be the value of palmeiri and woods.

Ullmark i would want. if they get andersen healthy they could win the trade. all depends on how the sabres higher ups think next season will be like.

Wood and Kulikov get far more. Wood gets more than Palmieri. And Kulikov gets 2nd.
It was actually pretty square deal.

a depth D at best doesn't get a second, and no it wasn't a pretty square deal.

you want two of the leafs top three prospects for a back ups goalie, a depth d, a UFA at the end of the season who's having a bad year, and some 3 line grinder? that's laughable.

All those guys wouldn’t get Smith alone.
If you think Miles Wood can be had for a 2nd, Kulikov for 6th...I just don’t know what to tell you. Stay away from video games, I guess.

you are delusional if you think youre getting as much back as youre asking for. do you not realize that sandin has legit top pair upside and amirov has legit top 6 upside? toronto wouldnt consider using either of those for wood or palms.

A 25g per year sniper, a highly sought after young winger and a solid defensive d-man... it’s a pretty fair deal.
Besides, prices determined by seller.
If you don’t like, that’s cool.
Carry on.

Not a chance lol. Maybe if you replace Sandin with Abruzzeeze and the first with a second. For all 4 devils.

if palms/wood/kuli werent on your team and you were competitive this year, do you think Mercer/Shakir/1st/Pytlik would be fair?

if you said yes, youre lying.

Sandin, Liljegren or Niemela are all similar B+ defensive prospects. None have top pair upside but all have top-4 potential. You pick which of three.
Amirov could be be top-3 star, could be middle-6 winger. You’d have to gamble a bit. But figured he would be easier to move than Nick Robertson.
Koster is a personal favorite of mine, but isn’t a huge ask.
And the pick will be late.

If you prefer Liljegren, Robertson and pick, so be it. Same value to me.

Here, lets break that trade down.
1st=Wood
Amirov>Palmeiri
Sandin>>>Kulikov
Koster=Wedgewood

Do you disagree?

I disagree.
Wood = Amirov + late 1st (Coleman comp)
Palmieri = d-man prospect + 2nd
Kulikov = Koster

Way wrong on Kulikov
Palms and Wood are on target
No need for Wedgewood but he's better than your suggesting
I'm watching Leafs now and Kerfoot is a rag doll, I'm not impressed

Wood is not equal to Coleman. Coleman's points per game pace with the devils in 2019-20 was 0.54 and 2018-19 it was 0.46. Miles Wood, by contrast has 0.42 this year and 0.34 in 2019-20. Add this to the fact we can all agree Tampa overpaid for Coleman, (Foote alone seems like he could be better than Coleman) and although Tampa did not lose the trade (due to timing and cap hit), a team would be very foolish to give a Coleman type package for Wood. A first should be enough.

I think Amirov and Foote are similar. Amirov higher ceiling, lower floor.
Mercer may be better than both.
Mukhamadullin ... ?? Who knows what he is. Need to see him in some best-vs-best competitions. I’d take Sandin over him today.

Wood has more term. And was injured for most of last year.
Coleman has him on versatility (plays PK, PP, both sides, any line). Wood has edge on size, speed, toughness.
