Jets say yes, cheap price to pay to acquire a younger player who could bounce back in Winnipeg. Trade would need to be made after the expansion draft though as Jets don’t have a protection spot for Patrick.

Another reason why the Jets should have waited until after the draft to extend Lowry. I know its risky to not have a contract signed so close to ufa, but I think they should have had the deal in place and made it official after the draft.

SEA has way better options than Ghost to take from, so that 3rd won't do a thing in convincing them to take the guy.

Gotta be a significantly better compensation imo.

That's decent value for the Jets, but Winnipeg would be better off spending those assets on something they need, like top 4D, as opposed to a health challenged forward.

I agree I thought they would have waited so they could maximize their protection spots but signing Lowry now makes me think Chevy has some wheeling and dealing already done. Whether it’s Copp to Seattle, putting together a package for T4 Dman or what I’ve been pushing, weaponizing our cap space for assets.

A 2nd is well worth the risk. Regardless if he can pull it together, he would still be a great middle 6 guy who I think could play up and down the lineup when needed. I do this all day long and twice on Mother’s Day

Jets would definitely do that post-Seattle draft, though I wonder if the discounted price is because this Armchair GM wants to move him before the expansion draft to protect someone else 🤷🏻‍♂️. If so, then I'd expect the price would be higher if it was post expansion draft.

I think there’s better fits for JVR. I’d like to see him in NJ
