Are they physical enough

After watching the last few days of playoffs are the Leafs physical and Dirty enough to win in the playoffs?

My concern is when the Refs put the whistle away Can they match other teams physically?

I don't mean to be condescending, but do you really think the type of player that would do something like that is going to be deterred by the idea of having to get in a fair fight with Simmonds. They're all big boys. If someone out on the ice has it in their head that they're going to go and lay a dirty hit on Matthews, then that's what they're going to do. Simmonds isn't stopping it. If he's lucky he can grab the guy after the fact and maybe get a few licks in, but what does that change?


If Simmonds is on for some reason guys get scared to cheap shot whenever a goon is on the ice and tend to not do dirty plays thus protecting matthews and Marner.

as many hits this year as guys like frederic, simmonds, foegele, wheeler, killorn, dubois etc.

yeah ice time factors in but hyman is the perfect hybrid of gritty/skilled. he's a puck battle warrior in the corners but he's also tremendously skilled. he 100% counts as a playoff-built player imo

I love Hyman and want him on my team anytime but I would not put him into a category of physical.

No, this isn't the regular season, and the Habs will be more than fine to trade a 4th line with a 1st liner. Perry will be targeting the Leafs core, not the depth pieces

illegal elbows are still game misconducts even in the playoffs

i know you really want someone on montreal to injure a maple leaf so you can live vicariously through it, but hits like that still get called
