Oilers never make this deal. puljujarvi is already better and is a top 6 winger. Lavoie is gonna be a future winger for this team AND A 1ST?? Buf would've made out like bandits in this trade.

I think Coleman would definitely take 2.5 million tax free than move to edm for 3 million

Puljujarvi had a 30 goal pace on pace for over 60 points thats more than Reinhart's ever had in one season.

It’s close but I would give Puljujarvi another year to see if he can repeat. I’m a Puljujarvi fan, but we will see... if we get a good left shot winger, he will explode! He works well with McDavid, players that like you have to hold onto.

Reinhart had 65 points in one season.

Reinhart has literally outscored Puljujarvi every season.

Sam in 54 game 25G 15 A, JP in 55 games 15G 10A JP was on pace for 22G not 30+
Sam already had a 65P season(18-19), several 20+ goal seasons on pace this year for 38g 60+ points this season. Last year he had 50P in 69 games could have reached 60+

When did he do this?

He had 15 goals and 25 pts in 55 GP this year playing with the best player on the planet

Where do you get 30g and 60 pts from?

Reinhart had 25 g (so more than pulujarvi) and 40 points in 54 gp

He also has a career high of 65 points. What are you referring to?

Reinhart has literally outscored Puljujarvi every season.

At 5v5 this season:

Reinhart: 54, 13-6-19
Puljujarvi: 55, 11-8-19

Reinhart: 826:19 TOI, 0.94 G/60 + 0.44 A/60 = 1.38 P/60
Puljujarvi: 745:00 TOI, 0.89 G/60 + 0.64 A/60 = 1.53 P/60

One guy is making $1M next year, the other is projected to make $5M+ next year. I'm not sure why Edmonton would do this trade 1-for-1, let alone add a 1st and a decent prospect.

Here's some underlying goal-scoring numbers for you:
shots/60: JP 7.97 vs SR 6.68
ixG/60: JP 0.90 vs SR 0.60
iSCF/60: JP 8.30 vs SR 5.95
iHDCF/60: JP 4.51 vs SR 2.83
Rush Attempts/60: JP 0.48 vs SR 0.00 (JP has more than McDavid even - he's carrying the puck with authority)
Rebounds Created/60: JP 0.64 vs SR 0.36 (more of an assist stat, I guess)
Hits/60: JP 7.89 vs SR 1.09 (not a goal-scoring number either, just thought it was significant that Reinhart isn't physical at all)

19 5v5 points while being tethered to Connor McDavid is not impressive.

Less than 75% TOI was with McDavid. His 1.09 G/60 with McDavid is pretty decent - that puts him 36th in the NHL tied with Brayden Point.

He's not for sale.
