They gotta dump over 10 mill. They can’t afford to add 6 mill of cap. As of now, they gotta dump Killorn, Palat and Johnson for 0 cap coming back just to make it work. It’s super tough to add this trade on top

No, they literally can't afford this.

They are $18M over the cap as it is and will have to move out 3-4 players making at least $4-5M+ this off-season in order to even fit under the cap next year.

Going after Cirelli is smart, and I've been thinking we should do the same. But it would have to strictly be futures that get the job done. They cannot afford to have any cap come back their way.

3 years of Anthony Cirelli:

2018-19: 82GP, 19G, 20A, 39P
2019-20: 68GP, 16G, 28A, 44P
2020-21: 50GP, 9G, 13A, 22P

With those 3 years on Tampa, he played very good on both sides of the ice! He is very young, and still growing as a RFA. Now I don’t understand why you would not give at least a first for a growing player like Cirelli, but I certainly would! Imagine Kaprizov with Cirelli… that line would be insane and then you could put either Zuccarello, or Fiala with him.

2021 1st (PIT or MIN)
2022 2nd

Would be a good starting point. Might need more, or maybe a little less given TB's in a bind. Not sure which.

1. TB can't take on any cap.
2. It's a bad trade for TB. Cirelli is needed there and Dumba isn't.

Do you think a 1st is enough for Cirelli? That being said, what should I add if I am removing Dumba?

I always write "fixed" when I fix something after being requested. I thought that @Devil1122 wanted to joke about that.

No a first isn’t enough. It’s a good starting piece though! They will need cap relief, so maybe Callen Addison could be a player they would be interested in with only Foote, and Cernak on their right. @TheThunder and I have not agreed recently, but I trust his judgment. He would be able to help you out with a fair trade if they were going to trade him.

I'm not in favor of trading Cirelli from Tampa for now, but a Rossi/Cirelli/JEE center group for Minnesota would be solid as long as Rossi lives up to his potential.
