At least young players will be interesting to watch

Description
If there's one bad idea the Pegula's learn from this year's playoffs, you just know it'll be draft a goalie in the first round.... Hopefully they trade down to do it.
Also idk if Wallstedt goes before 9 but I'm kinda feeling Cossa > Wallstedt anyways

I'd rather have Rathbone and whoever's available at 9 instead of Power

Think about it. We could trade down for a slightly lower pick and an asset or two.

Realistically Buffalo don’t do the Vancouver or Carolina trades. And Colorado doesn’t do that trade , it just doesn’t work cap wise. And I don’t think Vegas is trading Tuch

The VAN proposal is interesting, not sure if they accept but they probably should.

I like Rathbone and think he will be a solid second pair D, possibly as early as next season, with that being said his spot would be replaced by Power who is projected to be a top pair D.

With Risto only having one year left on his deal plus BUFF retaining, he would be an easy flip at the deadline that may return a late round first, especially with additional retention by VAN.

Essentially I look at it like this:

Rathbone + 9 overall for Power

Lind for late 1st/2nd (flip Risto at deadline for the 1st/2nd) and Bryson.

I doubt VAN accept, but the more I break it down I think they should.

That Vancouver trade is really awful for Buffalo. Buffalo gives up the better pick, A prospect equal to Rathbone in Bryson, and eats half of Risto’s contract for Kole Lind? He’s not even Vancouver’s best forward prospect. If Kevyn Adams considered a trade this bad he should be fired immediately.

Cossa is taller but Wallstedt has more skill. Wallstedt may not make it out of the top 10 but Cossa will be around. Both are worth it even with UPL

Sounds like you didn't take the time to appraise it fully and then doubled down idk it happens a lot on here so I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest 🤐

For Eichel though they'd justify it though, no?

Newhook seems more like the core of a Reinhart return than the return entirely especially with Fleury at 2.5M$ ~ a positive value asset included also 😕

I don't see a huge gap between Power and likely 9th overall pick Kent Johnson so I'm pretty jazzed by that deal especially with Borgen being questionable

I'd like to know how you came away with 6 firsts? I count 4 (Krebs, Tuch and the two futures that will be like 30-32 overall) plus Fleury who although he is really solid still is not worth a first and Korczac who was a mid 2nd and then had a bit of regression this year...

I've been a Power detractor but he is still the consensus #1 regardless.
