Toronto and Edmonton declines. Other than that pretty good tbh

This is superb and if you need some help to fend off the haterzzzz😠 here in the comments I'm here for it lol just a very forward thinking tactful AGM 👍

The returns seem the best case scenarios

    But that's totally fine naturally

One relatively minor issue is trenin to Seattle especially with all the unloading of protection worthy players for non protection needed players

Should be doable to unload a meh UFA asset

He has good potential and already an ok NHLer

Canes pass. Carrying Hamilton until he is 35 is a problem for the Canes. Doing so for Ellis is equally a problem.

I personally wouldn't do the Ellis deal and I don't think Carolina would either.

Personally, I would like to not try and replace Dougie because I believe it will be an impossible and/or expensive task. I would much rather target quality forwards that are more plentiful and I assume cheaper.

I don't think the Canes would do this because a big hold-up for signing Dougie is the term. They don't want to be paying him deep in his 30s. Ellis's deal is less cap than Dougie will be but he will still be getting paid 6.25 million until he is 36 and that will probably scare away Carolina.

I probably should've done a second instead of a first in the TOR deal but thanks man. I'm not a preds fan but this is the direction I'd move the team in.

Yeah, Ekholm at 50% is great and all, but do we really need to do that? No need for retention on that trade.

Shhh it's OK, let them retain. That's a no-brainer deal for Boston.

You could get much more for Ekholm. But Boston is def interested in acquiring him.

Canes would be more interested in Forsberg. Don’t think Ellis makes sense for the reasons listed above by a couple others.

Interesting ideas. I think we could get more for Ekholm, especially with 50% retained. Grimaldi probably isn't a top 6 winger though. Resigning Tolvanen to fill Grimaldi's spot makes the most sense. I'd put Carrier ahead of Fabbro too. I don't see Fabbro playing top pairing anytime soon, even if Ellis is moved.

Who doesn't need a very good top 4 d for 3rd pairing money

woops. I missed Tolvanen. He was meant to be in the top 6

their biggest issue is scoring, not their defensive core.

Ellis isn't even getting paid 3rd pairing money. He is getting top pairing money. He is worth it for now, but in 3-5 years? Probably not
