I know the Philly fans don't want to trade Couturier, but I think the Wild would step up to pay for his last year. If you really want to retool this might help.

I'd love Couturier, but if they are requiring Rossi in the deal I'd be hesitant to bite.

I figure if we can get Couturier, Nosek, and Ek we have no role for Rossi anyway. So he becomes useful in a trade.

Couturier is an elite defensive 1C philly isn't looking to move him so you would need to pay a price like this to get them to think about it. They have solid youth in the line up currently and need a dman and maybe another middle six forward and if they perform like expected they'll be a solid playoff team losing the 1C even for a nice package like this hurts the team since they aren't looking to rebuild

I also think so... his advanced stats are also impressive. Unlike some others, I wouldn't expect to see a bump in stats from playing with Kirill, because playing with Giroux gives a similar look to his offensive upside.

I don't know which reality you're living in where Nosek at 2C somehow means we're set at center. Are you thinking of someone else? What a horrendous contract.

Nosek will be 29 and hasn't even gotten 20p in a season. He was also on a team with less center depth than MN had last year and was the 4C there. How is he worth $5m x 4 contract?

I'm not a fan of Nosek at $5M. Evolving-hockey.com has his contract projection at $2.6M for a 4 year term. I'm not sure I am a big fan of Nosek at all, but definitely not at 2C. If Couts and Nosek were the Center adds, Nosek plays behind Ek for sure.

Ok, ok, so Nosek is off target. Who should I get from the UFA set?

Nobody. Just use Sturm and Rask as the bottom-6 centers. Get actual NHL wings to play for the 4th line instead.

Couts and JEE are the top-6. Sturm gets Foligno/Hartman (or Greenway if Boldy goes with Fiala)

Having him and jee as a top 2 would stifle teams in the playoffs.
