I know the ullmark contract is overpay but there will be a lot of teams bidding for him and you prob have to pay him to get
to come to another rebuilding team and Detroit has no other
options for young goalies unless they wanna pay a 2nd for one year of korpo with the risk of him walking also taxi squad is just who else may get called up throughout the year or could make the team

This is really good but I do feel that Hronek and Bertuzzi will want short term to prove themselves instead of locking themselves up for eight years on deals that could be massive underpays. It’s the right dollar value, but maybe 2 years and then a long term deal once you see how good they really are.

Blues accept. But I'm still here wondering if any Detroit fans have an idea for a Krug trade. And if it involves Bertuzzi, even better.

Huge over payment for Dunn.
Eichel, although being a centre and young, doesn't make sense here right now. I don't even think that trade is ridiculous either, but the wings aren't really ready to compete yet and we need some more elite pieces that you can only really get through the draft.
I would take the Canucks trade all day, Dipietro shows signs of being a good starting goalie, basically zero risk by taking on Erikssons contract.

Krug doesn't fit what they are trying to do in Detroit, he's too old, by the time they are ready to compete he will be 33-34, and his contract probably won't be worth it anymore. He would make the team better now, but in the long term it doesn't make sense for us.

Hronek is currently their best defenseman and has been for about the last 2 1/2 seasons.

Bertuzzi has had back to back 21 goal seasons and was on pace for 30 before getting injured.

I'm not sure what they would be waiting for.

The only thing I think is that Hronek would want between 2-4 years so then he can cash in a long term deal to take him to his mid thirties.
I would be a bit sceptical of signing Bertuzzi to that term, probably 6 max for me anyways.

I don’t see Krug to Detroit for a couple reasons. First, I don’t remember seeing any credible reporter from Detroit even linking him to the club. All I saw was speculation to churn clicks online. Second, look at the defensemen that Yzerman has traded for or drafted, not a single one is close to Krug’s size. He prefers big defensemen. Third, he’s already 30 with 6 years left on his contract at 6.5 AAV while Yzerman has repeatedly said he wants to acquire individuals that will be around when they’re competing.

I think Washington's 1st is a fair price for Dunn. I agree with your assessment of Eichel to Detroit, the Wings have no business trading for Eichel.

Ok I see your point with Hronek personally I'd give him 6yrs and probably the same with Bertuzzi. I think 2yrs for Vrana is good for both team and player but I give him more more money we don't need 9to give him a reason no to stay in Detroit.

Yeah I think vrana is about 250-750 short, I don't know if he quite gets the 6M mark yet, maybe if he signs long term I would pay him that.
6 on Hronek would be nice, but if he wants an 8 year deal when he's 29 that could be crippling for the team in the later years. That's why I think maybe 4 max not so if he signs for 8 after he will only be 35. But who knows what the man himself wants to do.

Hronek has stepped up in the last 2 seasons playing more than 23 minutes a game probably more than should be playing. His production pretty much the same over the last 2 seasons. It was his defensive play that improved from last season to this season. His CS% rel last season was 0 this season it was up 4.5% and his +/- went from -38 to -18. As you said who knows what Yzerman will do. The only thing I don't like that Yzerman hasn't done is take on a couple cap dumps. Since that really isn't a big deal. So I'm sure I'll be fine with whatever he does.

Honestly I think he waits until last minute to get the best return for cap dumps. Wait until teams are desperate to make a move to get the max return, that's what I would do anyways. There are more than a dozen contracts I feel would be cap dumps with teams that need space. Once those teams realize that there are no other options, then they will pay the price.

Well, it never hurts to ask. But as for the thing about no reporters mentioning it, that is usually how it goes with Army trades. He works in the shadows and there's rarely any media talk of his trades before they happen.

I was talking about Yzerman & co offering Krug a contract or visit when he was a free agent. The only articles were mere speculation from individuals without any direct access to the club (eg click bait). Yzerman has been pretty open about intentions for the most part which is why I mentioned it.
