Commented on the other post, but Toronto gets a top 6 winger and Chicago gets a healthy scratch and someone for rockford. For the privilege of making this trade Chicago also upgrades Toronto's pick.

The typical, let's make sure we have zero depth on the blueline idea. Trade away a better defenceman to Arizona and our best RHD prospect for nothing.

Nylander is barely an NHL player at this point. Doubt he would make the Leafs.

I don't really like the fit with Nylander but I guess it would be an alright gamble to take if they are seriously off on TL and don't expect to get something better (I think he call play). But I don't understand that Arizona trade at all.

You are confusing alex with Willy. Toronto gets a project coming off of surgery. I would keep Lilly over rolling the dice on nylander. I don’t think this trade fits Chicago needs either.

To the OP… no you have not solidified the top 6. Nylander would need to be sent to the marlies and he would be grabbed on waivers so some dumb gm can ruin his career.

I would suggest not trading for a player who has barely been an NHLer. If your moving Liligren you better get a legit top 6 winger
