Flat cap and Detroit's roster is already set for depth. Hagelin is a cap dump as far as the Wings are concerned, so unless you're paying an asset for them to take him, decline.

Why would you sign a player and immediately trade him? Makes no sense.

no Capitals need to use a 2nd round pick to dump him.... if Hags was signed at 1m maybe but his cap hit is really high for the value he has

A 2024 first is too distant a return for Rickard Rakell, even if he is a one-year rental. We're probably only interested in a 2022 first-round pick (unlikely), or a 2022 second-round pick plus a good prospect (more likely) for him.

rangers are looking for stars they are going to have in impulse trade. they found one in kuzy in return plus a couple of picks sounds like a nice return storm had a good year last year so they have those 1-2 centers. plus kuzy has a couple of years of control while storm only has 1 year left they are similar in age and you can't look at kuzy's season last year I think the covid twice may have effected him

its just a really bad trade for the Caps.
