Extremely bad return for coots, especially since you can't do conditional re signs picks anymore


Also doubt Colorado gives that up for giroux unless he turns elite again

Las Vegas is over the cap right now, with Nolan Patrick still to be signed, so I have trouble seeing them taking on Sean Couturier's big cap hit or trading you their least expensive NHL-quality defenseman in the process.

Reported that there were 3-5 teams willing to offer a first for Risto, Montreal seemingly one of the more interested

No they definitely will. Many teams were offering first round picks for him.

Montreal isn't giving up a 1st for Risto, let alone a 1st in a deep deep draft and that the first live draft in 2 years which they host.

There is 0 chance Avs move newhook for for a 34 year old rental in Giroux. Flyers will not get nearly that type of return from any team
