1. Tampa would trade Palat, Killorn, etc. before considering trading Sergachev. And why would they need to spend on the top 6? It’s top 5 if not the best in hockey. Guys will take discounts to stay there and win.
2. The value there is off

I mean, they wanted to save McD. And you might get a cheaper option than a 5 mil 3rd pair guy (ofc Sergachev is better than a 3rd pair D, but that is Tampa). And they cannot have any money going back. You cannot have Killorn and Cirelli as your top 6 LWs and win a cup. Palat is untouchable. He is the fundamental guy for this team.

I guess you never read the Kaprizov situation, CSKA offer a 1 year, 10 Million US dollar contract

I know that, but I also know the Russian hockey system and Leagues with all the rules better. They cannot offer him 10 mil. They have around 1.5 mil under cap.

P.S. if you wanna know what Russian experts say, 4-5 yrs and 7-7.5 mil and no cska.

I came here to see what you were doing with a Kings trade -- we need a Dumba-quality defenseman on the left, not the right -- but what really struck me is the Sergachev idea. That's nowhere near his value and the Lightning have many other avenues to avoid trading him, which they aren't about to do without getting the equivalent of three first-round picks, including a current replacement, for him.

Got what you say. My threads are always open for changes. You might suggest something that you think is appropriate and I ll fix it. Definitely not a bad RD core with Walker and Roy though.

P.S. what are the TBL options? Just really curious about that. Tried to glue their roster for awhile. Did not succeed at all.

You really think Kaprizov takes $7,000,000 when he can get $10,000,000 in tax free money to play over in the KHL.

Well, my understanding is that when the season starts, they put Seabrook on the LTIR and then they're cap compliant; that was partially the justification for the acquisition.

I don't think Bill Guerin exposed Carson Soucy to protect Matt Dumba just to trade him later. That defense is one of your strengths.

1.) they are not tax free.

2.) they are not nearly real money that you can get for playing in the KHL. The top player in the KHL earned 120 mil RUB last year (Shipacyov) , and yeah, bonuses are also included under the cap.

I understand the Dumba part (though I still think we gotta sell high on him as it is still possible). Fellow @HowYouDrouin just finished a Bolts opening night roster. He has Barre-Bouillet in the top six. That is the issue I am talking about.

ABB can be a great top 6 forward if he can put it all together, if not we have 2-3 other guys that can fill that role very easily. Moving Sergy is a dumb move right now since McD probably gets moved in the next 2-3 years and Sergy can also play on the right side like he prefers. If Tampa thinks about moving Sergy its gonna be an unprotected 2022 first, a NHL ready prospect and probably another pick or prospect coming back to Tampa

I don't see this team as any better than what MN currently has.

Also MN shouldn't be trading any future 1sts when they could be very bad in the near future.

Still I think we are gonna be trapped in between 10-20 picks. Ofc If we are not selling off rn. Our division is not that tough as the other ones tbh.

The Division isn't that tough, but also MN isn't very good. The team here is relying on 3 rookies, and no injuries. If the rookies aren't ready/stumble and/or any one of the top line/pair miss more than a handful of games then it could be an ugly season. The team's cap only gets worse after this year too.

Tampa has no incentive to make any major move right now with everyone signed and locked and loaded for another title run hopefully. This move doesn’t help them to win now.

A. Kings can’t afford the salary cap of Dumba
B. Vilardi will have more of a impact in the Kings future than Dumba.
C. The Kings are in need of a defenseman so the deal isn’t totally off. I just believe Kings will keep Vilardi and sign a Top 4 defenseman in the offseason.
D. At this moment, the Kings organization declines this trade.

Couple things.

First, Sergachev is 3rd pairing on paper alone. Tampa doesn't really do conventional defensive pairings, everyone plays with everyone. Last season Sergachev was 2nd on the team in ATOI during the regular season (21:58, behind Hedman) and 3rd in the playoffs (21:52, behind Hedman and McDonagh).

Second, Cirelli is not a LW. He has been our 2C for the past two seasons. Sometimes playing RW on a line with Point when we had injuries. Also, Killorn is a really good 2nd line LW, not sure why you think you can't win a cup with him and Cirelli in the top 6 seeing as we've done it twice.

Third, Palat is hardly untouchable. He is a important member of the team but unless he takes a significant discount to stay he will be gone next offseason in UFA.

Good morning my friends. Here is CSKA president saying they have no room/need for Kaprizov. Finally found that one. If you speak Russian ofc)
