Trouba for Necas

Created by: AFox23
Team: 2021-22 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 3, 2021
Published: Sep. 3, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
CAR
  1. Trouba, Jacob
Additional Details:
Two teams have history of successful defense trades in recent years. Hurricanes get a replacement for Dougie Hamilton. Now that they have an extra forward in Kotkaniemi, Necas can be expendable to fill a hole at RD1.

Hurricanes agree?
NYR
  1. Necas, Martin
Additional Details:
Rangers have two stud RDs (Lundkvist and Schneider) ready in their pipeline which makes Trouba expendable. They can move Necas over to Centre if Zibanejad or Strome leave in free agency next summer.

Rangers agree?
2.
CAR
  1. Namestnikov, Vladislav ($1,000,000 retained)

I mean this in all serious: rangers have to add four first round picks to this trade.

This is probably the most lopsided trade proposal in CF history.

NYR accepts.

Canes Do Not.

I still believe in Trouba but he has not lived up to his contract at all. And it is BIG.

1 for 1 if New York retains 2.5m of the 8m. Which is a lot ot retain for 5 years lol.

Necas just put up 41 pts in 53 games as a 21 year old...

You must have missed the Kaprizov+1st for Kravtsov+Kakko, and then Kravtsov for Zegras+2nd post thread from earlier tears of joy

Yeah...not sure what the deal is. I get trolling (Though I'm not really which team hurt him...), but sometimes when he posts I actually think that he's being serious.

If you are going to make extremely stupid trade proposals, you should not only be expecting backlash, but also be ready for it.

Trouba isn’t good anymore and would be considered a cap dump. Necas is extremely elite. Unless you are willing to add Laf, Kakko, Lundkvist, as well as 3 1st rounders to dump Trouba for a rising star in Necas, goodbye. Maybe this trade goes down in fantasy land, but this is reality buddy.

Anytime someone tries to come up with original trade ideas, there are handful of accounts that just try to bully them up, call names, and generally just be angry in the thread. I have no doubt that many of my trades are one-sided, but I have gotten just as many complaints from Ranger fans saying I am giving too much than I have from other sides. I try to be original and come up with unusual ideas. Sometimes I miss the mark, as it appears I did here. But that is no reason to subjugate me to the bs I have gotten on here.

Take a cue from some of the more respectful posters on here.

I sympathize entirely with your sentiments, but PLEASE read the CapFriendly Forum rules about certain magic wording . . . your voice is too important to be missed.

At a certain point you need to take the onus and take a cue from fans of other teams and recognize established or agreed upon values. You aren't being subjugated: your AGM teams frequently feature very lopsided deals and your inability to adapt, correct, or learn from them should be the focus of your frustration. Not all of the criticism in this thread was delivered properly but the sentiment is not baseless. The social contract here revolves around the give and take from all users. I'm yet to see the give on your end.

I don't want to delete this thread. I want this to be a teachable moment for you: perspectives from both fanbases will differ, be the first to reach towards middle ground and establish an argument in that favour and work towards that mutual compromise.

Likewise, I want other users (such as @Devill1122 or @CMcAvoy83 as an example, but generally) to recognize that another user's postcount or tenure here does not imply that they have fully established values of another team's players. I was disheartened to see two users that I very quietly look towards to be more positive drivers of conversation reach for low-hanging fruit. Quality feedback is the only mechanism that will drive better posts here. I expect better from you two and hope you'll be more willing to work with other users in the future.

My bad for leaving a negative comment. I didn't leave a well thought out explanation because I'm not sure if this guy is trolling or not. I didn't want to waste my time leaving a thought out comment if this guy was just trying to troll

It's not the negative comment I was worried about -- it was the buzzwords "laugh at that," which is sanctionable (while "lmao" or the even more objectionable "lmFao" is not).

I’d like to stand up for the OP here. I haven’t seen all of his AGMs but I did a quick scan and while there were a couple that left you scratching your head most weren’t awful even if they were coming from fantasy land. The MIN one from earlier today was rather poor and he deserved some push back on that post.

This trade isn’t perfect but he provided a logical explanation for it and as a NYR fan had some bias. But to the people who think it’s extremely lopsided, it’s not as bad as they think. Trouba was much better this year and actually his best year although only 38 games and based off of some of the trades made this offseason it isn’t outrageous to think a RHD signed long term isn’t worth quite a bit. Maybe not Necas but still his explanation was reasonable.

I haven’t always been great with my responses but lately I’ve learned from OldNYIFan to try and be more courteous in my replies.

This is false. Trouba was having his best analytical year of his career although it was only 38 games. He’s not a cap dump anymore. The people that think this trade is that far lopsided are just as bad as the MIN post he had earlier.
