Vegas with Zibanejad based on comments on another acgm

Created by: JackAce91

Description
Talked about a potential three-way trade on another acgm involving Buffalo, Rangers and Vegas. Decided to do this to see how it would look. All trades are based on that acgm.

Buffalo gets-
Zib
Schneider
2022 1st
2022 2nd
2023 2nd

Rangers get-
Jack Eichel (2,500,000 retained)

-------------------------------------

Buffalo gets-
William Carrier
Kaedan Korczak
2022 1st

Vegas gets
Mika Zibanajed (2,500,000 retained)

I don't necessarily think that Zib solves the #1 center issue that Vegas has, but he should solve the scoring issue they have. Hopefully, that can get them over the brink. That and firing Peter DeBoer.

Sabres would want a forward, better than carrier, probably not as concerned with the pick, which is likely a very late first.

Zero chance Sabres retain on Eichel though

Buffalo declines the Rangers trade even without retention.

If Buffalo does not get a young FW with 1st line ceiling there is no reason to trade Jack. There isn’t one in this return. Has to be the primary piece.

Just don't see Buffalo retaining on Eichel, at most could see them retaining 5% of his salary.

Let's be clear here, Jack is a HUGE improvement over Zibanejad, but not that much, remove the two seconds make Zibanejad, Schneider and 2022 first.
On the other hand, that is not nearly enough for Zibanejad from Vegas. Replace Korczak with Krebs and I think it is fair.
MYR retain 50% of Zibanejad when he is traded to Buffalo and Buffalo retains $1,000,000 when he is traded to the Rangers.
Buffalo gets, Krebs, Schneider, Carrier and 2 late firsts. IMO I would want someone better than Carrier.
NYR gets Eichel for Zibanejad, Schneider and first
Vegas gets Zibanejad for Krebs, Carrier and first.
Buffalo will need to add salary either before or with the two trades.
Even with the retention and Dahlin signing for $7,500,000 they will be about $5,000,000 below the cap floor.

Lets be clear here....Mika is as good, if not better than Jack as an all around hockey player. He scores more goals, scores just slightly less points per game, is better at faceoffs by a lot, is a much better penalty killer, and is better defensively. He is also a better leader than Mr Never in the Playoffs Eichel and his cap hit is almost 50% lower. Buffalo can keep Eichel and the Rangers will be better off, and more than happy to keep Mika.

Bless your heart, why are you so angry with me.
I may have said Jack is better but I also said the difference is much small than the trade with Buffalo and not nearly enough from Vegas.
Read my post again my friend, I am the only person who posted that recognized what you are saying.
Try, just try starting your post off with "you are correct about Vegas not offering nearly enough for Zibanejad..."
No need to get angry right off the get go.

Not sure why you see anger in my post, but you be you I guess. What I said is nothing but truth. I wouldn't trade Mika straight up for Jack let alone add anything to the trade. No thanks.
