The habs obviously reject. Kane is garbage, and we aren’t trading Jo.

Kane is garbage? What kind of garbage? He’s not a garbage player, but he has a big mouth etc. I personally wouldn’t want him on my team either, but is he was 50% retained, there would be a lineup of teams interested.

There's no way Karlsson's contract only takes a first-rounder to move. The second-round pick swap and the two throw-in players don't make a dent in the value either. Karlsson would be turning 33 that offseason, and at 9 million for 4 more years, he'd have to have a major bounce-back to get moved.

Not a single team in the NHL wants to touch him with a 10 foot pole. Good player or not, 1 of 22 teammates like him, some outright refuse to play if he is on the team. Kane is garbage.

If any of these trades were actually offered out, the GM's and owners would petition for San Jose to relocate to Quebec.. This made tyler myers ' value look like he's a diamond on the blue line, if so, we'll take 2 first rounders, 2 second rounders and a prospect for Myers. Thanks!

He’s a garbage person, yes, but not a garbage player. I believe there would be teams lined up if he was 50% retained.

He’s a great player, but his problems go way, way beyond his mouth. He’s garbage.

He definitely is a cancer, but the guy has some skill. There would be teams that would want him.

Hes a gambler. Quit acting like he’s done something extremely awful. Plus MTL has a recent history of giving a player a chance that most if not all other teams want nothing to do with.

You’re smoking crack. COL wouldn’t give up a single of those assets for Drouin much less 3 of them. Say it with everybody, until he plays AND produces in the NHL again Drouin has ZERO value.

And speaking of zero value, you think anybody is going to give SJS anything for Kane with all of his baggage? That would be a no.

I won’t get into the divorce saga as this isn’t the forum to do so.

Overall point was MTL fans shouldn’t be stating anyone is off limits when it comes to their favorite team acquiring said player.

Or try to sign Voynov in the past, wanted to sign De'Angelo in the heat of his on ice issues or have a GM who was working for the Blackhawks midst their harrasement scandals

If there was GM who would make a move for Kane, its Bergevin, the guy has a sketchy past

Yeah not gonna lie I was pushing with that trade smile

@Robbstark03, @kotkaniemi15 I don't believe Kurz's report that said only one Shark player wanted to play with him. And like @Nhl_oilers said at 50% of his salary and for 4 Stanley Cup runs Kane could be a valuable asset, I may have overvalued the package but I consider Drouin (who left the team while they were in a playoff hunt) and Byron (not picked up through waivers) as cap dump. Also there's a reason I chose Montreal for this trade and it is stated by coga16 and jah1722

I never said that about Mailloux. Mailloux is still a child and made 1 mistake, and has shown more progress than Kane ever has in taking responsibility and growing.

Drouin is rumoured to have been struggling with addiction, so pretending he quit on the team is just wrong.
Byron was not picked up in waivers, correct. Then he played great and instrumental in Habs getting to the Stanley Cup...

Rumours, rumours and allegations that he MIGHT have known. That's what you have? Aside from drafting Mailloux, nothing confirmed Bergevin has done is sketchy. I would much rather give a second chance to a kid that made one mistake, not a vet that has soured multiple locker rooms and his wife against him.
