I dont usually agree with you, in fact i think you overrate leafs a lot, but this trade is outrageously bad for TOR.

Rackell is 28 and has been declining for years, even with a good extension he isnt worth near enough to be a centerpiece in a marner trade

swap out your second for next years first and leafs add a second, they need that extra little bit of value to make it go through

he is very good on the penalty kill, in the playoffs though i dont know what happened to him, but besides that he was probably, if not the leafs best forward on the PK, hes smart with the puck, good positionally and isn't afraid to block shots

No, it doesn't. Not even an Eichel trade starts with Zegras and Eichel is better than Marner. Zegras and Drysdale are not available and Murray would probably not trade Comtois, the only good goal scorer on the team, for Marner.

Barrie has proven himself to be one of the most offensive defence men in the league yes, and yes marner starts with zegras, marner has proven himself to be one of the most offensive players in the league and not bad defensively, Zagres could be as good or better idk but he’s a prospect, you know what your getting with Mitch not with zegras, again players like marner eichel, DO NOT come without a teams top prospects get over it, just because a player wears a leaf jersey doesn’t mean you can disrespect their value

I never disrespected his value. I literally said the Leafs would never accept this. But no matter Marner's value, the Ducks aren't trading Zegras for him because they're rebuilding. It's not about the value. It's about what makes sense for a team and giving up Zegras for Marner is not a move that would make sense for the Ducks.
