No one can rationally think this is remotely close to Matthews alone. You don't have anything good enough for Matthews.

Assuming Kuz is back into former Kuz. Assuming term is equivalent for all contracts or in favour of the leafs. I kind of like it for the leafs just to get that elite grit and 25G scorer in Wilson plus a downgrade at C since they have JT .

Personally I like the way that top 6 looks but the trade value I won’t criticize either way, leaving that to the homers. But it’s nothing a pick or 2 couldn’t balance out

I wouldn't do it. If I am TO with that roster, the only move I am seriously considering would be some crazy scenario where McDavid or MacKinnon wanted out and the Leafs added. Otherwise it's not worth it. Matthews is the best goal scorer in the NHL and is just entering his Prime, the sky's the limit for him. Nothing here approaches that.

Those are great lines. Kuznetsov has 4 years; Matthews, 3; Wilson, 2. But that also means Wilson is up for an extension next offseason, and could end up with the most term of the three.

Reaves would start some trouble with the above Caps team, though. smile

Generally true. Early this season, Kuznetsov is in the top ten of the league in points with six points in three games, Wilson is in the top sixty with three points in three games, and Matthews has played in one game.

Also, Kuznetsov has led the NHL in playoff points. Auston Matthews has also scored some playoff points.

Tom Wilson has led forwards in playoff hits. Auston Matthews has gotten hit. smile

Lol. MAtthews is so overrated on this site. He’s a great player but people think he’s McDavid. He’s basically a younger version of Stamkos. Now the trade above doesn’t get you MAtthews but let’s stop glorifying him.
