We would not retain 3 mil of anyones contract. You would be sending Vlasic and a 1st for that luxury lol

Say what you want about these trades, sure, that’s fair.

But referring to these events as « cancel culture » has got to be the single most ignorant, idiotic, and stupid comment I have ever read on this site in all of the multiple years I’ve read comments here.

Your attitude is emblematic of exactly what needs to be eradicated from our society.

I hope you are able to read this, and to grow.

    Bro what hahahaha?

Blackhawks get Fleury for literally nothing, since he's a soon to be 37 year old goalie with a high cap hit. Then after a bad season with the Hawks, you flip him for our #1 d prospect? Im assuming you a) don't realize both goalies are UFAs, so both are worth nothing in the offseason and b) i'm assuming you have zero idea who Broberg is. You couldn't possibly think that this deal is even remotely reasonable if you knew who Broberg was. Oilers will be targeting a young goalie to be their starter with Smith as the backup next season. No interest in Fleury. Even if this deal was at the trade deadline, Oilers aren't offering more than Koski + a 4th or maybe a 3rd rounder. Big time off the mark on this one

Pretty similar reasoning to the De Haan deal. You're not getting much more than a contract back and a mid pick. Yamamoto is not in the picture on that deal

Congratulations on coming out and admitting that you're part of the problem by labelling this situation as "cancel culture".

There are countless dumb things posted on this site on a daily basis, you have by and far surpassed all of them.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I don't think he meant to use Cancel Culture in the way you're referring too, or atleast I hope he didn't. I believe he was trying to say that the team, in of itself in CHI won't rebrand or move because of these events, but the disgusting people that hid this inside of the organization need to go.

I think the cancel culture he was referring to is the name "Blackhawks", to which I agree, they shouldn't change their name. It's a tribute to honor a great warrior Sauk Leader. Just my 2 cents

All teams reject. Hawks aren't getting overpaid for any of their guys right now, they should expect less than FMV across the board.

They should be punished or its going to happen again. The players and staff have kept it hidden for over a decade and it ruined a young nhl players life. It is also the time to change the franchise in a new direction and fix all the problems while the doors open. People like you are whats making this a "clown world" because you would rather let the problem slip away instead of making change.

Multiple people, the ones actually responsible, are being punished. Its not slipping away, nor have I argued against the punishments. What other problems need to be fixed? Being over reactionary, overly sensitive, and refusing to admit that the people responsible are being punished doesnt make you better, it makes you delusional.

You’re saying the same thing as me.

… because of « these events ». And these events are NOT cancel culture. Firing people who enable sexual predators is not cancel culture. There are literally exactly zero ways that you can look at the statement as being acceptable in any possible way. The meme of « cancel culture » means [implictly unfair] cancellation due to [implicitly liberal] culture.

There is nothing that happens to any of McDonough, Bowman, or Quenneville that will be even remotely unfair.

I agree with you, but what I think you missed is that he was referring to the name change in the description as the cancel culture, not the events. Again, at least that is what I thought and hope he meant
