There's not much point in making a move for him right now since he's gone until the KHL season is done.

Damn I'd start a riot in front of the CTC if Dorion wasn't beating that

And I'm not that high on Kravtsov

Wouldn't say MTL fans want him, It could be a asset in a trade return but not a deal that montreal should go out and start unless they are shopping Chiarot

The problem is the Habs are stacked on the wings right now and weak down the middle. Another winger is not what the Habs need even though Kravtsov would be nice. I'd be ok bringing in Kravtsov if it were another winger coming off the team.

Also with Anderson a power forward we desperately need, Caufield our sniper of the future, Gallagher the pest, wiley vet and catalyst that drives the offense and Armia our possession beast who do we move off RW to fit Kravstov in? We are seeing how weak our offense is if Gally is out or not scoring it has been the same way for the last 3 years, when Gally gets injured the offense dries up, so I wouldn't trade him. I also am not trading Caufield who is one of the better snipers we have had in the last 30 years. Armia is also a highly doubt it until Ylonen is ready and Anderson brings size, speed, scoring and toughness to the forward group, so not trading him either. On the left you have Drouin, our only real playmaking winger. Hoffman and Toffoli two more lesser snipers than Caufield but the team needs offensive weapons to put pucks in the net. And Lehkonen/Byron two more possession/defensive forwards. Unless Kravstov can play left wing and Toffoli is moved for a 1st+ I can't see us bringing in Kravstov.

next year lekhonen should be gone, trade jordan harris rights or luke tuch and a pick. Tuch is from the ny area and harris is most likely gone the way fox went and is from the boston area. I think they are looking at a rebuild and this guy fits the bill

I wouldn't even stop at just RW. Drouin is our only puck distributor on the wings. Toffolli and Hoffman essentially are the bumper slot/ one timer PP specialist players. Lehkonen/Byron are the defensive specialists. Perreault will come back eventually... So on and so on.

With that said, Im all for adding Kravtsov but It would have to come at a cost of losing other wingers on the team to give Krav a certified spot in the lineup. Otherwise he'll just get as pissed with MTL coaches as he has with the NYR ones.

Anyone who trades for Kravtsov, has to play him minimum 14 mins a night with PP time for the entire season regardless of his production to ensure he becomes that player he is able to be. Otherwise there's no point.

I think it has more to do with Eklund saying Habs have interest in Kravtsov and Rangers having interest in Chiarot. Not sure why Habs fans would be clamoring for this guy in particular.
