BRB going to cry

Description
just going to head to the corner and cry, they’ve put the dreaded trio back together.

I can’t understand some of these lineup choices from Maurice. How did we manage to get back to this configuration after we’ve seen it become extremely stagnant and have a negative effect on the other lines.

I always joked that wheeler and scheifele had control over the lines, but after seeing how they’ve configured the lines over the past 5 games I really do think they control the lineup or at least have some control.

Jets down 2-0 already against a team who hardly gives up anything, not to mention the jets couldn’t score on a tutor shooter right now.

Team looks lost, I can’t figure out why. The lineup choices are ridiculous. It’s hard to watch lol

Maurice has to go it’s getting to the point where I don’t even want to watch this team play. What a waste of talent.

Going back to CSW was a desperation move of a coach who is on the hot seat.

I'm just going to watch highlights (if any) tomorrow.

I need to watch all this misery to get much more enjoyment when Maurice is finally fired. Also yes CSW smells of desperation.

I agree. They need a change. Maurice has been here for what 5-6 years? Every coach has a shelf life. I love Pomo as a person, but he’s not the right coach and it’s time to make a change if they want to stay in the playoff race this year.

Next four games are at home. Arizona and New Jersey first then after that there is a good chance to get blown out by Toronto and Carolina.

Not going to lie, the jets actually could lose to Arizona playing the way they have been. I expect them to win, but man it’s not going to be easy.

Also NJ will beat the jets. I think they go 1-3 at home.

I am curious on how much time Cheveldayoff/Chipman have given Maurice to fix this. Maybe reuniting CSW means he hasn't been given a great deal of time ... to the end of the home stand?

For me the Jets are back to the way they started the season. They look like they couldn't care less about trying to be competitive. The come out, skate around a bit and as soon as anything negative happens, not even necessarily a goal against, maybe jus a bad play or missed chance. The fold up their tents and mail it in for the remainder of the game. Just waiting for the final buzzer.

I agree. They’re a fragile team. That starts with coaching and leadership.

Even if it’s 2-2 now I don’t care, they’re playing decent since the 2nd half of the 1st but they’re a fragile team. All it takes is 1 for Calgary and they’ll be in control

I thought after the first 3 games or whatever it was where they stunk, that they had figured it out as they were starting to look not too bad, and now they're back to square 1.

How can their PP be this bad? 5 minute and they can’t even get setup.

I'm not even going to watch anymore. I'll just DVR it and watch, if by some miracle, they fluke a win or at least play half decent. I'm not wasting 3 hours watching them play like crap.

Well the CSW line got a goal so I guess Maurice was right... 😃

Have they changed their system? I've heard that speculated but I haven't noticed anything different, they look like the same sloppy mess as they have for years.

Literally he is everything to this team. Without him this team likely finishes between 23rd and 26th. The offense was able to give him some help after he delivered some huge key saves.

Also I am unsure whether or not they changed their systems. They look the same, except on that one PK at the beginning of the 3rd I believe on the Dillon penalty. They came out extremely aggressive and shut down CGYs PP completely.

Maurice gets lucky after CSW plays well in the game. I’m still not sold on that being a sustainable lineup decision but we’ll have to wait and see.

Yeah, gotta wonder where they'd be without the goaltending they've had.

I meant in the offensive zone, nothing looks different to me, still way too far apart to get much going when your closest passing option is often 15-20 feet away.
I thought with the defense being improved we'd see an end to the one forward hanging back but they're still doing that as far as I can tell. I really thought that was a waste of talent even when the D core was bad.

I think that one penalty kill looked a lot better cause some of the Jets better skaters were on it, looked better with Connor, Scheifele and Wheeler on it for a bit compared to Nash and Lowry, Lowry is just too slow on the PK, when he wins the draw that's about all he's good for on the PK cause otherwise he's pretty much just standing there, always just a step too slow to get his stick on a shot or pass. I get the Jets PK is (stupidly) passive by design but it doesn't help when some of your penalty killers are slow as ****.

Connor is a bit better defensively now so maybe that trio will be better this time around, makes me wonder if 55 and 26's early season struggles was just them pouting cause they were separated.. Lol

@Mr_Canoehead @MissTheWhalers @toque

If there’s not some serious concern after having 32 shots on a garbage Arizona team and 0 goals scored we’re in trouble. This game should be out of reach considering the shots are 32-12.

It’s extremely concerning when one of the keys strengths is supposed to be it’s offense but they can’t score against a bad coyotes team. Hopefully the 3rd brings more action.

Where tf is Perfetti and Heinola during a game like this? Perfect opportunity to call them up and give them a chance against an awful Arizona team.

I can’t with Maurice anymore. 2 periods of 0 offensive output and he won’t change a thing until its too late.

The game is disappointing. High danger scoring chances (5v5) after two periods are Jets 10-7 Coyotes so the Jets are volume shooting (which is better than not shooting) but they should have the game under control instead of being down.

I am expecting a "Let's go Bombers" chant before the end of the home stand.

I’m at the game. If they don’t score on this 4 minute powerplay I may start the chant.
