I don't, but I think he will demand less to resign than Fiala. The Wild will have a harder time managing cap so will likely have to pay a surplus to move Fiala laterally. Fiala's poor utilization will not help their case at selling him what his value actually is at.

why is ottawa paying to dump murray, retaining, AND taking a cap dump back? if he’s our 3rd best goalie we can afford to keep him in the ahl, we’re nowhere near the cap, and we have enough bad bottom six players so it’s pointless to bring in “a guy we’d actually play” if that’s gonna be your excuse

also that fiala trade is just stupid

Matt Murray is owed 15 M$ for the next 2 seasons and if he isn't going to singlehandly turn this franchise around (no idea why they thought he could), they will want to get that money off the books. Not the AAV but the salary.

No thanks on murray. I dont love our goalie situation right now, but i have trouble seeing how murray helps.

Wild have to pay to move fiala? Not actually sure you are serious. His value isn't low. Player's like fiala are never low. Gm's don't care about what your referencing in his play. Weak excuse to lessen offer for fiala. You also don't get Greenway for that

Okay:

Asplund > Greenway. That trade makes no sense for either side anyways.
Fiala > Olofsson so not sure on that trade but I'll keep Olofsson personally
Okposo >> Murray. No way we trade for Murray when we could have claimed him. Also Okposo has been very good this season, not interested in moving him for a 2nd unless its at TDL 2022-2023
Sabres are the last team needing to trade for LHD, Larsson isn't good anyways.
