I mean eating 5+ million for 2 seasons is big deal and we still have extensions coming up as well as extensions kicking in, and big ones like Jones. That being said, its a nice offer I think the Hawks would take if theyre throwing in the towel. Think other Rangers fans will scoff at this though, but Kane and Panarin would work magic and youre not giving up Laf/Kakko.

Don't think Georgiev's value has gone up much, but still seem like a huge return for Chicago

Seems most people on the thread think the original trade is more than enough, but I get trying to shoot for the stars for a player like Kane

This trade is essentially 4 first round picks for 2 years of patrick kane @ 50%.
This is an absolutely terrible trade for NYR and not happening.
Kane is not waiving his NMC, the rangers aren't moving the pieces that will offer us cap flexibility in the next few years as we have to tighten our belt with RFA contracts.

We have kakko/laf/miller RFA contracts to sign. We will eventually have to move trouba/kreider.

Othmann and Schneider are replacements for those two when the NMC's are off.
