Scotty P is reminiscent of Vince Dunn. Yes - he will hopefully end up better but the Blues will never succeed with their top 2 LHD options being 5'10 and under.

no thanks, Sometimes I feel like noone has watched the last few games. Mikkola and Parayko look really good together and Perunovich is going to be very good. They can trade Krug in a few years if needed. Neighbours and Bolduc look solid as well, would rather just keep them than overpay for Chychrun (as good as he is).

I dont think anyone discredits that Mikkola is good. I think the issue is that he has very limited upside when it comes to the offensive part of the game. He's got great speed for a 6'4 defenseman, he's solid defensively, but it would be nice to have someone who can put up 20 to 30 points while not giving up any defensive liabilities.
