why?
Buffalo is in the midst of a makeover, I think it's a great deal.

B forward prospect (23), decent goalie prospect but he would still be Buffalo's 4th best goalie prospect, and late 2nd for a 24 year old center having a breakout year. Tage falls right in the age group for Buffalo's rebuild, why would they sell him for nothing they need

For example, you can add the first round of 2022, is that more interesting, do you think?

That is our proposal
Benson, Konovalov, 1 round 2022, 2 round 2024.

Buffalo doesn't touch that not with a ten foot pole!

why? ... Buffalo has 3 GK FAR better than Konovalov (Luukkonen, Levi and Portillo), only Draisaitl, McDavid and Hyman have more goals than he, the second will be near the end of the round and Benson only 5 months younger than Thompson has ONE NHL point.

You all do realize that ONLY 16 centers have more goals than Thompson this year.
My son said it best, "You know when Thompson is on the ice."Bouchard
Simply put not only is that offer far below his value, but there is not one piece that would fill a need for Buffalo.

We didn't sign Alex Edler to a one-year deal and give him a NMC just to trade him for a third and an AHLer. Moreover, if that offer was made to us, we wouldn't even bother asking Edler if he wanted to waive his NMC, as he is more valuable to us as Drew Doughty's defense partner this year than a third-round pick reaching the NHL in 2026 at the earliest would be.
