Both true. Under Hynes we did a little better in taking shooting lanes away. It sometimes seems now like wings take less of that responsibility.
But need shot blockers as well.

Tbh we all have been brutal on Savard but he is getting way better. He’s our 3rd best dman this year behind Chiarot #1 and Romanov #2

Dougie hasn’t been the problem. He had one ugly giveaway but it’s been mostly as expected thus far. He and Siegenthaler have been our most consistent d-men to this point.

Also, +/- is making a comeback (just with a fancier moniker, “on-ice goals for %”)

I wasn’t really intending on singling him out. He was just one of the names that came to mind when I thought shot-blocking. More of an example than a specific trade target.

Montreal would do it for rubber from rubber trees, we can make our own pucks lol. Sa for Toffili it's unlikely he gets moved unless it is a very good return, but Hoffman can finish and could be had for a 3rdish
