why is the solution to get worse offensively, not any better defensively and not have a back up goalie?

Kinda funny, that "if the Leafs fail in the first round" is to trade two regulars and Mrzarek. But Campbell is resigned. Wouldn't Campbell by part of the problem?

who knows, but the answer to losing again in the first round seems to always be making the team worse somehow and getting ripped off in a marner trade

Doubt any of the teams would accept these proposals.

Maybe if you retain 50% on Marner the Canucks would consider it. The trade you proposed wouldn't work, too much to give up and we don't have the cap space.

If the leafs are losing games 6-5/5-4/7-6 then sure. But I wouldn’t blame Campbell for the lack of scoring from the big 4. Last year had very little to do with goaltending. I’m sure we could find a goal or 2 that “should” have been stopped but we can find more players on the roster that should have had 2+ goals in that series.
