So Columbus is trading their number one goalie who has a 5 year extension and a 1st (potentially a top 5 pick) for not 1 but 2 cap dumps…

It doesn’t matter the language the Avs aren’t trading any valuable asset for Price. So forget Barron, Olausson, 1st rd draft picks, no to guys like Byram, Newhook, Girard, yeah really why does MTL fans insist on this? Like Nancy said “just say no”

Every single one of these trades wildly overestimates the value of Montreal players. For example, you wouldn't get EITHER Schneider or New York's 2022 first for the Armia and Edmundson package, let alone both; similarly, Gallagher isn't worth either Sasha Pastujov or Anaheim's first-round pick this year; Minnesota isn't interested in adding another defenseman who is declining horribly; you'd be lucky to get Tyson Jost from Joe Sakic for that package; and others have already commented on the awful Edmonton and Columbus trades.

Let’s pretend the values are accurate(they aren’t). The trade partners in most, if not all, wouldn’t make these moves for a number of reasons out side of value.
