is this really blowing it up? i see no reason to do any of these things aside from maybe dumping chara, why give up seconds to dump hickey or panik when it's really not necessary? or trade for karlsson? or grubauer? this doesn't really help the team at all

What is this? NYI isn't getting rid of cizikas and martin to replace them with.... andreoff and simmons?

If NYI gives up Raty, Aho, and a 1st its going to be hertl... which btw NYI isn't going to trade their only center prospct that has shown he will likely be a steal

And clutterbuck and wilde for suter?

I don't see any logic or an improved team.

If you do decide to blow it up (and actually blow it up, not this), give the jets a call. I’m sure they will be more than interested in a certain hometown defensemen. Maybe a deal based on Lucius and a 1st?

I don't know if Detroit can take Panik back when they're already retaining some of his current salary. Detroit says yes if it's legal.

Panick trade is in violation of CBA. He can not be traded back to Wings for 1 calender year of initial trade due to retention by Wings.

Other than trading Johnston for a 4th, I can't see any reason why NYI would do any of these.

Once he signed the extension and wasnt a rental anymore, NYI would want at least the return that jones got.

Yea, I get that. Just saying that the jets would be interested, be sure to give them a call smile
