Isles would probably have to retain half of that JGP contract for the Avs to even start to consider this trade.

Given the situation in Colorado with Byram, why would Colorado trade Girard at all? He is their best #3, and if something happens to Makar or Toews, it can be deplorable for them.

I would switch out Pageau with Beau for sure. An Avs fan was asking about Pageau on HF which is why I started with him

Nothing against Pageau but he will be 30, Girard and AB are close in age close in talent and contracts are at least close for a while.

I personally dont think this makes sense for either side. From NYIs perspective you fill 1 hole while creating 2 more. Pageau is so crucial to what the team does that this doesnt make sense. I also dont know how well girard will do in the isles system.
As for the avs, the value just isnt there.

The OP wisely made this an off season trade. If Bo comes back and looks like he put the issues behind him, then I guess it's possible. At the moment it looks very unlikely that Girard will be going anywhere for quite a while though. The Avs need him.

If they did move him though, it would have to be a better return than this.

My bad, for some reason I thought this deal was happening now and not next season. I hope Byram overcomes all his concussion problems and comes back, a very good player.
