I feel Kent Johnson make him expandable and this nets them assets.

Can I ask what is lacking?
I feel this gets Hawks a goalie with term that when healthy is decent.

Could you please explain why any of these teams consider making these moves. I mean Texier has been really good for the Jackets, and scraps won’t cut it. Bear has been really good for the Canes, and rejects won’t cut it. Holl is ok, but I don’t think the Craps do that. The Chicago and Arizona moves look like cap jettisons, so why are the leafs getting assets back in those? And the last thing, in what way are you front loading Campbell’s contract, because their is a specific structure to do so, and if you don’t follow those guidelines, what happen with Grubauer’s contract with the Kraken will happen with Campbell and it gets adjusted. Plus, Campbell easily gets 5mil on his next contract.

Maybe I’m missing something and an explanation might help, although I feel like I have hit the hammer on the head here.

Mrazek is not a starter anymore he’s an average backup at best and Chicago has goaltending prospects that’ll be better then he ever was in his prime

With Mrazek, as a Canes fan, I know Mrazek looked really good as a Cane, but he had a stacked dcore in front of him. He didn’t have that with Detroit, he doesn’t have that with Toronto, and he wouldn’t have that with Chicago. Plus, over the last couple of years, he has become incredibly injury prone. All in all, Mrazek is now a negative value asset, unless he plays behind a stacked dcore. That’s the thing with reclamation projects, they change one aspect of how a player is being used, and they look really good. But the inverse is also true, as we have seen with the Leafs and Ritchie. Unless the same criteria is matched with when they looked good, they will just be bad and let you down.

I appreciate the interest in Oskar but that is a no. Have a nice day. I have a question about marner. What’s the deal with him. Is he going anywhere or are people just overreacting. If he is moving what would the price be for the caps

Sure, my reasoning on Texier is that Johnson will replace and they still have Roslovic to help insulate young guys.

Bear, TDA looks to emerging as the 2 RD for Carolina and with Nino and Trocheck contracts up..
They will need a player.

The Chicago trade is cap dump but when Mzraek is healthy, he is decent and I feel I have given enough assets here to help with cap blow.

Arizona needs players, this gets the a D man who is young but definitely 3rd pair for low cost.

Holl, I think Caps have enough holes next season and this is low cost add.

Campbell, front loading the contract is key.
Have him make majority of the money in the earlier years and I feel Campbell extension will happen during this season to the free agent frenzy.

If you dont know what a front load loaded contract is, go look at Tavares for example... real money in his first year was 15 million and his money in future years is declining

Not stuck on the prospect, apologize if I made a bad choice
Can you suggest a low end prospect instead

The answer instead of trade for Mrazek:

Play our prospects and see how much development

Bear has been great this season, the canes GM is too smart to trade a top 4 RHD for a 3rd liner who is benefitting from playing with Tavares/Nylander

I get all your points except for CBJ and CAR. Starting with CAR, we don’t need Kerfoot, as we already have too many C, and he isn’t a top 6 LW, which we really need. SAD is also a C, so that is another fairly useless asset to the Canes. Bunting would be intriguing, but outside of him, there really would not be anyone of real interest to the Canes. TDA for now is 1RD, and Bear has been really good for us, and the Canes have the cap space to fit both in next year. Trocheck is likely leaving via FA, but Nino will probably stay and resign for about 4milx4. This move is just bad asset management.

Now for CBJ, even if Johnson replaces him Texier at C, CBJ could just move Texier to one of the wings. You are also dumping Ritchie on CBJ, and with the contract he has, it would take a bit more just to dump him. And what remains from dumping Ritchie, I really don’t think CBJ will value it high enough to justify trading Texier.

Last thing is with how good Campbell has been for the last couple years, at the very least he ends up with a cap hit of 5mil or more. I get Front-loading it would be ideal, but you really can’t guarantee that he will resign with Toronto. A team that is very desperate for goaltending, like Seattle, Buffalo, Arizona, Chicago, Colorado, or even Edmonton might offer Campbell a contract with a base cap hit of, maybe 7.5mil, Leafs won’t be able to afford that and he would leave. This would be especially true if Toronto doesn’t make it out of the 1st round this year, as with previous years, the goalie has been made the scapegoat.

Since you asked. Columbus doesn't do that deal. Hawks spend $$$$ better than Mrzarek, maybe even Campbell. I like Kerfoot but Canes don't trade a player with I believe four years of control, Bear, for one year of Kerfoot. Don't think SAD has any NHL trade value.
IMO Campbell is gone after this season and Mrzarek is a Leaf. Unless the Leafs want to trade Nylander for cap space so they can resign Campbell, might be the only way

I'd resign Lankinen for 2 mil or Delia for less rather than take on a bad injury prone goalie on a bad contract unless the plan is to completely tank for a couple seasons.

Well when Healthy is one issue and he has not been good all year. He is a backup at best and 2nd he has another year and Toronto has cap issues and teams with cap are going to squeeze those who do not.

Kind of funny looking back this.

Mzraek fetched a better return and Bear went for even less.

Texier is not playing.

Kerfoot is probably worth a 5th and SDA a 6th so it's not much of a difference
