Yep but Brown isn’t worth an A prospect + 1st RD pick like some Sens fans are saying

That's not getting you Connor Brown.

And Nick Foligno is not waiving his NMC for Ottawa.

Try again.

Of course but can some Sens fans rassure me that they don’t think only an offer of an A prospect & a 1st RD pick could snag you Connor Brown

I definitely think a 1st is fair for what Brown brings. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone ask for any A prospects in addition to a 1st. The most common trade I see is Edmontons 1st and Lavoie (who I’d say is probably a C prospect at this point) but that’s almost universally seen as a fair offer from Sens fans right now.

I’d rather Savoie (who I think is a B prospect) or even Tullio but I’m with you that at no point does Brown return something like Bourgault and a 1st.

And why not? He's a better player than Blake Coleman

If you want to go in a debate, I have a million facts prepared.

Well, it really depends what people mean by "A prospect"

Denisenko might been seen as too much for now but it could change in a year depending on what he does until then

Tippett is a legit NHL player and 22 still, so might be too much as well. But need another good piece on top of that first, particularly if that first is late

All that being said, Sens should extend Brown 5 years instead of trading him

Ohh okay yeah I think I know what post you're talking about. I believe that post was Florida's 2023 1st and Heponiemi for Brown at 50%. The Heponiemi deal would be too low but Denisenko or Tippett would be too high. Denisenko was 65 and Tippett was 42 on Pronman's U23 player rankings (in the 5th tier). Lavoie and Heponiemi dont go anywhere even being mentioned on a list that went past 150 (so they'd be at least two tiers lower).

I still think Savoie would be the perfect prospect to go with the 1st. 4th rounder who's overachieved so far, solid B prospect. Doesnt get mentioned on Pronman's list but probably wasnt too far off from it.

Yeah 1st + Savoie or Tullio is a solid offer for a guy like Brown that OTT should take. But again, they have solid LW prospect, resigning Brown should be the better option for OTT
