I imagine Oilers wouldn't view Mrazek as an upgrade right now. But if he's healthy now and he can get some solid starts under his belt between now and the deadline, maybe there's a deal to be made.

Would Lou trade us Chara? Would he want to come here? I'd be interested to know what assets we'd need to move to bring in vets like Chara and Braun. Not expecting much from either other than being playoff tested upgrades over Sandin and Liljegren

Chara can barely skate anymore, I wouldn't trade for him at all. Braun isn't good either but I would add him for an injury replacement. Wouldn't spend more than a 3rd for him and it would need to come with 50% retention.

Sandin and Liljegren have played well this year. They deserve opportunity to keep playing. Getting has beens to replace them will only hurt the team.

Isles prob wouldn't want to absorb the cap. It's not a bad offer just one that doesn't fit the isles for next season

You could have chara for a 7th, not a change Isles take back Ritchie.

Ya...can forget Ritchie...really...I imagine both Chara and braun could be had for mid level draft picks....but in the playoffs we need d-men who do the pushing, not get pushed around....and our assets and cap space limit us to only so many options.

Ritchie is going cost more to get rid of. Oilers would be better to be cap free in goalies this summer, and then try to sign a UFA. But really Leafs better pray Mrazek is playing to his contract because in all probability he is Leafs for the next two seasons and Campbell is gone.

Oilers can't make this deal, they don't have the CAP space unless you take Koskinen at full value..
