not really, they have plenty of cap next season and beyond, and they’re not giving up a first and their top prospect to shed salary regardless. it hasn’t been pageau’s most prolific offensive season but he’s got more value to the team than that.

Avs might be interested in De Haan but not MAF and certainly not at that price. Rangers trade seems bad for Chicago, and I agree with others on the Isles trade. They don't need to dump salary at this time. Boston trade makes some sense but not sure if it's good for either team tbh.

Carpenter is a 31-year-old bottom-6 UFA forward and Gustafsson is a soon-to-be 30-year-old bottom pairing UFA defenseman. Anaheim has no need to clutter up the roster with those two while youngsters are on their way up this year.
