Murphy is hardly an upgrade over Holl and is going to make 4.4 million starting next season. Hard pass. This whole every RD defenceman on any team that is far worse defensively than TO is automatically a huge upgrade for TO is so overdone.

They literally can't trade debrincat at this point. Not if they wanna sell a single ticket for the next few years. Old man Wirtz made sure of that. Plus they'd get a much better package if they did trade him.

Maybe, I guess. But there's some genuine value there, and tossing Reunanen out does exactly nothing to clear cap.

On the other hand, I'm not even sure people in the Hawks organization would recognize Delia if waved to them in the hallway. Saying he has no value is an insult to worthless people.

Vegas declines. DeBrincat is awesome and their ask should be high. But Vegas can’t send two prospects that are ~top 50 overall in the NHL, another near NHL ready C prospect, a 1st, a 2nd, and Smith (who Chicago would be able to flip for another 1st+). That’s too steep.
