IDK. I mean...if we're trading Debrincat then we're tearing it ALL THE WAY DOWN. He is the single most valuable piece the Hawks have when it comes to trade value. Getting an NHLer back in Wahlstrom ... (2) of the NYI top 5 prospects ... and a 1st which will likely be 10-15 range ish. That's a really good package. Maybe what @xercuses said bump that extra pick to a 1st vs 2nd and 3rd?

That might be what Chicago asks for but it’s not worth it for the isles. I’d rather have Wahlstrom + one of Lambert/Kemell/Nazar + 2023 1st than debrincat.

I don't think its worth it for you. Will have to renew both Barzal and Cat come end of season.

The offer isn't bad for us realistically but I would think the Hawks would prob ask for Raty to be involved in any package as opposed to other prospects.

Ruins the Isles future in 1 trade. Cannot pay Barzal and DeBrincat, lose your best W, plus prospects and picks all while keeping the two worst W in Bailey and Palmeri.

Nah, they'd ask for more. And rightfully ask for more too. The NYI top 2 prospects and the 2023 1st.
Debrincat is on pace for a 50 goal season. He's cost controlled and the Islanders would certainly extend him for 8 years. There's zero guarantees that Nazar/Kemell/Lambert even make the NHL.

Isles will decline. They cannot afford DeBrincat and Barzal and not giving up that much for him.

It’s worth the risk for the isles to keep the 2022 + 20231st. Wahlstrom (who will be a top line 30-35 G scorer) + the 2022 1st hitting is a lot better for the team than trading for Debrincat and having to pay him 9-10 mill. There are very few players worth Wahlstrom + 2022 + 2023 1st and Debrincat (with his new contract) isn’t worth it.

This is a pretty good offer ngl. Wahlstrom is already a top 6 forward and that pick is gonna be top 16 for sure. The other stuff are nice building blocks too. Can’t ask for much more than this tbh.

And honestly I don’t think it’s a great move for the Isles

not terrible but not something I would accept for Debincat still. He's our most valuable assets. Going to take an overpay to get him. Also just don't see the isles as a fit. Not sure how they afford his extention next year which is probably in the 9 mil range
