CBJ takes that and runs, and the Pens are worse after that trade. Kooprisalo has been as bad as DeSmith.

what makes you think Hextall and Burke don't want to do anything?
Because they won't overspend on a player or make horribly bad moves that hamstring the team down the line in a move that has to be made later because of the 1st bad move?

If they see a piece at the right price, that they think helps them, they will take it. They did last year pulling Carter out the blue for a good price.
I think you can expect the same kind of move this year. Honestly, I think VGK is their trade partner soon. They have to find a landing place for Zucker and you might see that move happen.
Everything else is little bit. Backup goalies won't cost a ton. Neither will a 3RD.

Would have to be Marino + Kapanen coming back for vancouver to say yes. Or Marino + 1st. Basically Marino and the a useable asset

Lay off the drugs lol. Would even do Marino 1 for 1 much less Marino plus a 1st. You can keep him 😂

If you want Marino alone is Miller 50% retained, EP40 50% retained, and 3 1st round picks. Since we are in the land of ridiculous over payments.

some interesting ideas Cap space next year becomes tricky with about 29 mil to resign Malkin, Letang, Rust, Kap, Erod, Heinen and Korpisalo. Granted not all of them will be back anyways

But why trade for Korpisalo. The Pens should look for a veteran goalie to back up Jarry not one roughly the same age who probably is looking to start and wil expensive to resign. Someone like a Greiss or a Holtby.

Korpisalo won't ask for much, holtby would cost more, and greiss is terrible
