Has there been any confirmation of this happening or is it more so speculation at this point?

such a joke, expansion team in a new market is too juicy for the league to care about it

I'd probably still put Roy as the #4C and move Patrick to RW. Roy has been outstanding.

They really should change it to a soft cap with luxury taxes. If 81.5M becomes the soft cap and 91.5M becomes the hard cap and then luxury taxes on anything over 81.5M while also policing the LTIR stuff a bit more.

Yeah sure . So teams like Toronto and Rangers can pay it and and add a Hertl or Pietrangelo level player to their teams

And the luxury taxes then go to the ARZ, OTT, CAR, etc so they can also add using the wealthier owners $. Is that so bad?

This plan, but no hard cap. Just do luxury tax over $90 million or so.

The Blues, the Wild, the Avs, hell they usually struggle big time with Edmonton and Nashville. And when it happens, I will piss myself laughing.

Is that only because they didn’t have fans in Canadian arenas? While you guys did. Tell me how much did CAR/TOR make last season? I know TOR charges no less that 180/seat in the nose bleeds. I’d assume you guys are closer to $30?

Who cares? They had 256 fans all of last year. They ain't drawing fans, and Carolina can't continue to support those poverty original six franchises.

Wow. That’s kinda funny you think that. A little lesson in math. In 2019 all original six teams were in the top 8 teams for revenue. CAR isn’t even in the top 20. The SEA franchise is actually worth 160% of the CAR franchise. Buddy, while your team is great on the ice, they aren’t great for the profit sharing

This is also a team where the arena is an hour outside downtown Raleigh, and it has the biggest TV following of any non O-6 team. It's a geography issue, and it's why they make similar numbers in terms of playoff revenue in terms to the original 6 (Forbes) maybe you should stop talking now.

So you think they make more money and have more value because of they location and people staying home to watch them even though actual $ show they don’t? Do you also think nano bots are in vaccines?

DET makes more $ than CAR even when they miss the playoffs and CAR wins a cup.. lol
