This is funny . That won’t get close to Fiala and no one is taking MDZ or Mete

I would think Minnesota hangs up the phone by the time PD is done talking

Minnesota isn't trading fiala @ deadline and especially not for a bunch of nothing

I wonder about MDZ tbh. 2mil is obviously too much, but he's so goofy good in the AHL, It wouldn't surprise if someone was willing to bet on him being better than he's been in Ottawa. He's been pretty well regarded by teams and coaches in the past. Teams might bite at 1m.

Exchange the Tampa 2022 second (no better than 61st overall) for your 2022 first and Bill Guerin might give you an answer with a straight face.

Why on Earth would Minnesota sell low at the deadline? That's terrible

Objectively hilarious. 6 points in 10 games for Ottawa, followed by 18 in 13 for Belleville. Might be having his best season in a decade and he can't get into an NHL lineup. No wonder he's so miserable here lmao.

Yeah, I don't know what happened to Mete this year compared to last. He was so good last year, and so bad this year.

I'd rather Del Zotto vs Zaitsev too.

Aside from the fact he won't be moved in season. Contending teams don't move top-line caliber wingers when making a run for the cup and they're shoo-ins for the playoffs at the deadline.

Ottawa is definitely a good fit for Fiala moving foward and is quickly becoming my favorite goto destination for him if he's moved after the seasons done. Especially if that 1st is in play.

Brady and Boldy are similar enough caliber power forward types that Fiala shouldn't see much regression in his numbers if he's on a line with him. I think Boldy has better vision and playmaking/playdriving skills than Tkachuk does but the addition of Stutzle at center will offset that to a major degree. A line of Tkachuk-Stutzle-Fiala will be absolutely lethal and downright absurd.

I think they’d keep Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson together , that line is lethal. Then roll either :
Formenton-Stutzle-Fiala
Or
Fiala-Stutzle-Brown/Pinto

Or if they get Kuzmenko play those 3 together
Kuzmenko-Stutzle-Fiala

pretty solid predictions except for the first ( as stated by others the return is not good enough and I would be surprised to see Fiala moved in season ) & the last trade, MDZ could get moved for a 6th with 50% retained to a team for insurance or a swapped for an underperformer or just leave him in Belleville. He has moved around a lot in the past 3 years , his days in the NHL are numbered if not done.

Batherson is a pretty similar player to Fiala, from my point of view, a Fiala-lite in a way. As I think Fiala is the better overall player.

IMO, a Tkachuk-Stutzle-Fiala line has the potential to be even more lethal. Boucher will probably be the best Tkachuk replacement on the Norris line, eventually, as that's obviously long-term solution.

I’m not sure about that. I think both are very similar in terms of value but obviously Batherson is on a really good contract boosting his value. But Batherson is over a point per game this year finally breaking out. The guy is the next Mark Stone level player
