Description
Tell me which contracts and trades I got wrong
Monahan clears his NMC cuz he's playing a bottom-six role.
This may not be too realistic, but this roster looks the most likely to win a cup in Canada

Switch the 1st to a 2nd/3rd in the Montreal trade.
Montreal retains 50% and Monahan goes to a 3rd team.
Calgary gets a 2nd/3rd from that 3rd team.

I’m sure the jackets would take a flyer on one year of Monahan this off season. No need to dump him for that much.

I’d rather the over a point per game Batherson at under 5 mill than the 9+ mill Tkachuk will get

Im biased but I think Tkachuk is worth a bit more. Also as soon as any Tkachuk trade happens that signifies a rebuild IMO.

I think the point that was trying to be made was not about Batherson being worth more than Tkachuk but that Batherson at $5m is worth more than Tkachuk at $9m

I don't imagine the ask will be very high from CGY. They obviously need to move if him if they want to keep their big guys around

I’d do a mid round pick at the most (4th) As y’all are in a tough spot and we don’t need him.

I have no idea what the Flames will do. I think they've been trying to trade him for two offseasons now. Buyout could be the outcome, because I don't think the Flames want to eat money

Understandable. I don’t think we’ll have you eat money or add assets. But it would be for a small return. Like a 4th or 5th.

Is the MTL trade missing something? Just for future considerations? That doesn't make any sense. Monahan isn't a cap dump.

Kylington will be a UFA in 2 years, so I would think he gets a 1 year deal or a 4+ year deal to maximize the use of your player while you have control as a team.
I don't think the Flames need Klingberg and they have a ton of LD in the system, so no need for Gio.
I think the Flames could move Monahan for a better deal then having to give up a 1st so not a fan of that trade (especially because I like Ruzicka).

If they can move him for another star player, they can still be competitive, although that would be hard.

This is troll af, imagine choosing Klingberg over Tkachuk. This team is significantly worse than what they currently have
