If that’s what Copp gets I can’t wait to see what Hertl gets. In reality I can’t see Copp getting more than a 1st

Leafs don't have cap for DeMelo, this year or the following two.

It’s probably on the assumption the Leafs move one of if not both of Holl and Dermott. Demelo is a major upgrade over both

Boston has plenty of 2nd and 3rd pair LD, all of which will be returning next year. I wanted Dillon before they signed Reilly and Forbort. No need now.

Boston needs a 2 way LD1 or a big physical RD3. Dillon is neither.

Pretty optimistic on a few of these. Better temper expectations.

I doubt the Jets move Dillon or DeMelo for such low returns at the TDL. Might as well hang onto them until the summer in that case.

Thoughts on the lines and D pairings?

I wouldn't play Smith over Gustafsson or Samberg and Chisholm over Heinola and Schmidt, just due to experience.

I think based on the fact that Min hasn't done that trade yet, its not going to be a second, but thats just a hunch. Maybe 3rd and 6th or something

The TDL is still a month away and Stastny isn't anyone's 1st choice to get as a rental. He's a nice player, but there are better FWDs that could be on the market in the next month. If/when he's traded it'll be after other dominos fall.
